This 4-day Peruvian vacation showcases the capital city of Lima, one of the world’s great food cities and a centre of historical and cultural monuments. It features first-class accommodations and private tours.
Your trip to Peru takes you in and around Lima to get a taste for the capital’s culinary highlights and historical heritage. Begin with a city tour through the trendy districts of Miraflores and San Isidro on the coast. Swing by pre-Incan pyramids and follow the coastal cliffs to admire views over the Pacific Ocean before you head north to Lima District, the administrative centre of the nation. Explore the Plaza de Armas, where you’ll find the Presidential Palace, the Cathedral, and colonial mansions dating back to the founding of Peru. Continue to Aliaga Masion, the home of Conquistador Jeronimo de Aliaga, one of Pizarro’s most trusted lieutenants.
The next day, visit the Larco Museum, arguably home to the world’s greatest collection of pre-Columbian artifacts. Tour the collection and enjoy insight into the Moche people, who lived in Peru in the days before the Incas, as well as the museum’s cheeky erotic collection. Cap off the day with dinner at Cala Restaurant, where you’ll dine on a delicious meal that embodies Peru’s famous fusion cuisine, all the while enjoying views over the ocean.
At the end of your stay, connect back to the airport for onward travels.

Lima City Tour and Casa Aliaga
A visit to the modern and colonial parts of the city of Lima the "City of Kings", starting in the districts of Miraflores and San Isidro. The tour visits a Huaca or sacred pre-Inca site right in the heart of Lima before moving onto the Parque del Amor (Lovers Park) in Miraflores with its magnificent view over the Pacific Ocean. The tour also includes the Historic Centre based in the main colonial square, Plaza de Armas, where the Presidential Palace, the Archbishop's Palace, the Municipality of Lima and the Cathedral are located. A visit is also made to one of the largest colonial-era convents.
It is then onto the Aliaga Mansion, historic home of Conquistador Jeronimo de Aliaga and gifted to him by Francisco Pizzaro - the Conquistador who brought down the Inca Empire. It is still inhabited by the original owners descendants. The mansion's facade is embellished by a republican-era balcony and the house has an impressive entrance stairway, which was a symbol of its owner's nobility, a courtyard adorned with 19th Century Italian marble and the family chapel built in 1814, the walls of which used to be covered with silver plates.

Half Day Larco and Archaeological Museums
Visit the Larco Herrera Museum, an 18th century colonial-style museum housing the largest and most impressive ceramic collection in the world, with about 55,000 pre-Colombian clay pots on display. The collection concentrates on the refined ceramics of the Moche Dynasty, the people who lived along the northern coast of Peru between 200 and 700 AD. The Moche culture is recognized as accomplishing one of the greatest imaginative languages of ancient Peru through the use of creative pottery, providing clues to all aspects of their civilization without the use of the written word. One can learn about their religion, agriculture, transport, dance and music through these ceramic designs and shapes. The Moche are also renowned for their fascinating erotic pottery and the famous collection is on display in the separate 'Erotic Hall', depicting sexual practices of several Peruvian cultures in a lifelike, explicit and often humorous way. At the end of the service, transfer to your hotel.
