Plitvice Lakes Group Tour
Our comfortable, air-conditioned mini-van or bus will pick you up at the prearranged location and head up through the countryside towards - Plitvice Lakes. The unity and harmony of 16 lakes and their rare natural and cultural value is not famous only throughout Croatia, but also worldwide; earning this remarkable national park a coveted place on UNESCO's list of World Heritage sites. Arriving to Plitvice, we'll walk through these ancient woodlands led by our experienced guide. The path takes us first across Gornja Jezera (Upper Lakes), a system of 12 lakes separated by travertine barriers. Then it's time for a peaceful boat ride towards the second area called Donja Jezera (Lower Lakes), placed in a limestone canyon. Wherever you are in Pltivice it's easy to see why its travertine marble formations are such an extraordinary natural phenomenon. The barriers, sills and other forms created in these lakes, karst rivers and streams are still an ongoing process that shapes the wonderful landscapes that make your walk through the park so enjoyable. It's these same travertine formations that have and are still creating the numerous magnificent waterfalls here. Over time, the water changes its course, leaving some barriers dry as it deposits new layers elsewhere. This constant evolution makes the Plitvice Lakes never look the same. The best way to actually see this happening is when you are standing in front of the Big Waterfall, 78 meters high. The roaring thunder of the water as it hits the ground is unforgettable! Our journey ends with a tram ride. With the end of the guided sightseeing, we go in a restaurant for an optional lunch. After restaurant it's time to drive back to Split along the highway, still excited and full of lasting impressions - Make sure your camera has extra batteries!

Day at Leisure
Today is totally free and at leisure. You can take advantage of any optional activities available or simply relax.
River Krka Waterfalls and Sibenik
Your day begins with a pleasant coach drive through the karsts hinterland of Sibenik Riviera. You will arrive in the town of Sibenik, the oldest Croatian town on the Adriatic coast. It is also called Kresimir's town, since it was the residence of King Petar Kresimir IV, the most important ruler of the ancient Croatian state. It grew from an old Croatian fort near the fortress of St. Michael, which still overlooks the town. Upon arrival, you can enjoy sightseeing one of the most valuable sacral monuments in Dalmatia - the St. James' Cathedral dating from the 15 century. By many things it is unique, not only in the Croatian architecture, but in the European as well.
You will then continue to the famous waterfalls of the River Krka. Here, in beautiful natural surroundings, the River Krka forms picturesque waterfalls cascading over 17 natural barriers. You will visit the restored ethnological monuments to become better acquainted with the customs of the region. The preserved watermills are from the 19th century and have exceptional cultural and historical significance. You will see presentations of milling wheat, washing and pounding of cloth, weaving of fabrics and floor masts, horseshoe smithing, ploughing, planting, the preparation of the food in the old kitchens and more. You will walk along the wooden paths to Skradinski buk - the longest and the loveliest waterfall on the Krka River. This is a spot where the stunning beauty is expressed in full through the perennial play of sun and water. Here you will have free time for walking, sightseeing, photograph taking and swimming in this beautiful environment.
Note: Guests must be able to walk over varying terrain and approximately 100 steps (together in Sibenik and in the National Park). Walking at Krka National Park is at guests' discretion during free time. Swimming is at guests' on risk as no lifeguard is on duty. Conservative attire (no tank tops or shorts) that covers both shoulders and knees is suggested when visiting the Cathedral in Sibenik.
