Day 1. Arrive Nairobi
Arrive in Nairobi at Jomo Kenyatta Airport met and assisted by Goway representative. Transfer to your hotel. The rest of the day is at leisure. (BB)
Day 2. Samburu & Buffalo Springs National Game Reserve.
After breakfast, drive north via Nanyuki and Mt Kenya to the Samburu National Reserve. Rugged and remote, this wildlife reserve provides some the best and most colourful game viewing in the country. Arrive for lunch at your lodge. And then onto an affternoon game drive. (BLD)
Samburu Intrepids Camp (2 nights)
Day 3. Samburu & Buffalo Springs National Game Reserve.
All day spent in the Samburu National Reserve with morning and afternoon game drives. (BLD)
Day 4. Aberdare National Park. After breakfast drive the Aberdares, a beautiful mountain range in the central highlands of Kenya. Arrival will be in time for check in and lunch at Aberdare Country Club. Thereafter you will be transferred in a lodge vehicle with other guests to Ark. This tree lodge overlooks a waterhole and salt lick where the 'Big Five' occasionally gather for an exhilarating night of wild encounters. (BLD)
Please note that only one small overnight bag, per person, is allowed at the The Ark due to the limited space (on transfer vehicle and in the rooms). Your extra luggage will be deposited for safe overnight custody at the Aberdare Country Club. It is therefore advisable to pre-pack before since there is no room provided for this.
Day 5. Lake Elementaita
After breakfast you will drive to Soysambu which is a 48,000 acre Wildlife Conservancy, also a RAMSAR site – a wetland of international importance. The Conservancy protects over 450 bird species and 15,000 wild animals. Rothschild giraffes have found a safe haven for breeding here, while a diverse variety of terrain shelters many species – from herds of giant elands to tiny dik-diks and cliff-dwelling klipspringers. Lunch at your camp. Afternoon at leisure or optional activities as offered by the camp at the extra cost. (BLD)
Lake Elementaita Luxury Camp (2 nights)
Day 6. Lake Elementaita
Breakfast at the camp. Thereafter you will drive to the nearby Lake Nakuru National Park which is well known for Flamingoes and it is also home to thousands of plains game. Game drives in this famous national Park and thereafter return to your camp. (BLD)
Day 7. Masai Mara National Game Reserve
After breakfast, drive to the Masai Mara National Reserve offering wonderful scenery and plenty of game. It is perhaps the only region left in Kenya where the visitor may see animals in the same super-abundance as existed a century ago. Lunch at your camp. Afternoon game drive until sunset. (BLD)
Fairmont Mara Safari Club (2 nights)
Day 8. Masai Mara National Game Reserve
A wonderful early morning optional balloon ride with champagne-style breakfast, is a must, please ask if you would to add this to your itinerary. Whole day in Mara with Morning and afternoon game drives.
Day 9. Serengeti National Park
Breakfast at camp. Later this morning you will be transferred to the local airstrip for your scheduled flight to Nairobi. On arrival you will be met by a Goway representative who will be there to assist you. Light lunch at Dormans Café and then connect onto flight to Kilimanjaro. On arrival at Kilimanjaro you will connect onto flight to Serengeti. On arrival you will be met by a Grumeti expeditions representative and transfer to your camp with a game drive enroute. (BLD)
Day 10 and 11. Serengeti National Park
All day spent in the Serengeti with morning and afternoon game drives. (BLD)
Day 12. Ngorongoro Conservation Area
After breakfast, drive to the Ngorongoro Crater, the largest intact caldera in the world. Its enduring charm stems from its overwhelming physical beauty and the abundance of wildlife permanently resident on the crater floor. En route visit the Olduvai Gorge site of archeological findings , where traces of pre-historic man dating back to 3.5 million years ago have been discovered. Arrive at your lodge for lunch. Afternoon at leisure. (BLD)
Lemala Ngorongoro Luxury Camp (2 nights)
Day 13. Ngorongoro Conservation Area
After breakfast, depart for half day tour of the crater floor. Return to your lodge for lunch. Afternoon at leisure. (BLD)
Day 14. Departure
After breakfast in the lodge, you will check out and drive back to Arusha arriving for lunch at Pepe Restaurant. Later you will be transferred to the airport for your outbound flight.
Notes: Please note that in low season April & May instead of Lemala Ngorongoro we will be using Ngorongoro Serena Lodge.
