Kenya & Tanzania Independent Travel Ideas

MASAI FOOTSTEPS

7 days

Day 1. Arrive Nairobi.
Upon arrival at Nairobi's Jomo Kenyatta Airport you will be met and assisted by Goway's local representative and transferred to your hotel. The remainder of the day is at leisure in Nairobi.

Day 2. Nairobi to Masai Mara.
After breakfast, drive to the Masai Mara National Reserve offering wonderful scenery and plenty of game. It is perhaps the only region left in Kenya where the visitor may see animals in the same super-abundance as existed a century ago. Arrive for lunch at your lodge then enjoy an afternoon game drive until sunset. (BLD)

Day 3. Masai Mara.
An early morning optional balloon ride (must be booked in advance) with champagne-style breakfast is recommended for a different perspective of the Mara and its wildlife. Morning and afternoon game drives in the reserve. (BLD)

Day 4. Kigio Wildlife Conservancy.
After breakfast you will be collected for the day's drive taking you to the Great Rift Valley, destination Lake Nakuru National Park. On arrival you will have lunch at Sarova Lion Hill Lodge and thereafter proceed for an afternoon game drive. After game drive you will drive to the nearby Kigio Wildlife Conservancy arriving in time for check in at your lodge. (BLD)

Day 5. Kigio to Amboseli National Park.
After breakfast, drive to Amboseli National Park lying below the most famous symbol of Africa, Mt Kilimanjaro. You will have a picnic lunch enroute to Amboseli and then an afternoon game drive enroute to your lodge. (BLD)

Amboseli Sopa Lodge (2 nights)

Day 6. Amboseli National Park.
Early morning optional balloon ride in Amboseli (must be booked in advance). Morning and afternoon game drives in the Park. (BLD)

Day 7. Depart Nairobi.
After breakfast, drive to Nairobi, Kenya's colourful capital city. You will be dropped off at your city centre hotel (if staying longer) or Jomo Kenyatta Airport for your departure flight. Our local representative will reconfirm your onward flight and assist you at check-in. (B)
