The Classic Namibia is a combination of the Southern Namibia, Northern Namibia and the Etosha with 2 full days in Swakopmund. Fathom the magnitude of the Fish River Canyon, the second largest in the world. Experience the ever changing mountainous sea of the Namib Desert sand dunes at Sossusvlei. Survey the ancient rugged mountains in the untouched wilderness of Damaraland. And encounter the magnificent African wildlife in Etosha National Park.
Day 1. Arrive Windhoek.
Depart Windhoek and drive via Rehoboth into the Kalahari Desert for overnight. A scenic drive will be undertaken towards sunset (in open vehicles). (DB)

Day 2. Windhoek to Fish River Canyon.
Drive through Kalahari and visit the Quiver tree forest near Keetmanshoop. Short stop in Keetmanshoop. Lunch en route (for own account). Continue to Naute Dam for a quick stop. (DB)
Cañon Roadhouse or similar (1 night)
Day 3. Namib Desert.
After breakfast, travel to the Hobas Campsite, an entrance to the Fish River Canyon to view the Canyons most spectacular northern fringes. Continue to Aus and visit the Aus Information Centre. Possibility to enjoy lunch (for own account). See desert adapted horses on entering Namib Desert. Enjoy spectacular scenery of the Aus Mountains on an unguided walk. Scenic sun downer drive in the afternoon (for own account). (DB)
Klein Aus Vista – Desert Horse Inn or similar (1 night)
Day 4. Maltahoe region.
Optional excursion to Kolmanskop possible – enquire with your guide regarding the rate (minimum of 4 pax). See the ever-changing vistas of the desert landscapes when driving along the most beautiful district road in Namibia, the D707 (road conditions permitting). Visit Duwiseb Castle before arriving at your Lodge in the early afternoon. (DB)

Day 5. Sossusvlei.
Early start to visit Sossusvlei, where we will undertake a drive with 4x4 vehicles into the heart of the Namib Desert. Climb into the gorge of Sesriem Canyon before you travel past the impressive Namib Naukluft Mountains to your lodge. (DB)
Namib Naukluft Lodge or similar (1 night)
Day 6. Sossusvlei to Swakopmund.
Drive through Kuiseb Canyon and continue towards Walvis Bay at the coast. Lunch in Walvis Bay (for own account). Visit Walvis Bay Lagoon to view seabirds. Travel to Swakopmund. Enjoy a sun downer drive to Moon Landscape in the afternoon. (DB)
Pension / Guesthouse in Swakopmund (3 nights)
Day 7. Swakopmund. (unguided)
Explore lovely Swakopmund. You may wish to book an optional day tour (for own account) in Swakopmund (guided tour through historical town or the Mondesa township, quad-biking, sand-boarding; Living Desert Tour, scenic flight over Skeleton coast or catamaran or boat cruise at Walvis Bay). Many optional activities are on offer (for own account): visit aquarium, museum or crystal gallery, and many more. (DB)
Day 8. Swakopmund. (unguided)
Another day to enjoy the splendours and many attractions of Swakopmund. Possibly meet at dinner fellow travellers who join the tour in Swakopmund. (DB)
Day 9. Swakopmund to Damaraland.
Depart early morning on the salt road towards Henties Bay, past some pans and an array of bird life. Visit Twyfelfontein and the Organ Pipes on way into Damaraland. Lunch packs en route. We will arrive at the lodge during the late afternoon. (BLD)

Day 10. Damaraland.
Optional morning guided hiking trail where you are introduced to the rich flora and fauna of the area. Lunch at the lodge. In the afternoon join a sun downer drive in the Aba Huab River and possibly encounter the desert dwelling elephants (seasonal). (BLD)
Day 11. Damaraland to Etosha.
Leave Damaraland. Visit a Himba village near Kamanjab and learn more about the culture and the tradition of this half-nomadic people. Continue via the little town of Outjo. Lunch stop (for own account) - possibly meet fellow passengers joining the Etosha tour. From there continue to Etosha National Park. Arrive in the early afternoon and undertake your first game drive into the park. (DB)
Privately owned lodge/safari camp near Etosha Park – preferably Etosha Safari Camp (3 nights)
Day 12. Etosha.
The entire day will be spent in the park, exploring the waterholes along this enormous saltpan. Lunch stop at one of the rest camps (lunch for own account). (DB)
Day 13. Etosha.
Another day of explorations in this world famous National Park. Your guide will introduce you to the complex subject of managing such an enormous reserve. Lunch stop at one of the rest camps (lunch for own account). (DB)
Day 14. Depart The Lodge or Camp and Travel South Towards Otjiwarongo.
Opportunity to join the group en route to Victoria Falls. Continue towards Windhoek via Okahandja where we will visit a local handicraft market. Tour ends on arrival in Windhoek late afternoon. (B)
