Fun in the Sun

This itinerary was created with families and their young travelers in mind. It features hotels & lodges that are family friendly and offer fun, kid specific programs.
Day 1. Arrive Cape Town.
Upon arrival in Cape Town you will be met by your Goway's local representative and transferred to your hotel. The hotel offers programs, activities and meals especially for the kids. (B)
More Quarters - luxury apartment (4 nights)
Day 2. Peninsula Tour & Two Oceans Aquarium.
After breakfast depart on a Peninsula Tour. Begin with a visit up Table Mountain (weather permitting) for a breathtaking view over the city and its environment. Continue to Hout Bay for a cruise to Seal Island then head for the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve and its scenic viewing point. Return to the V&A Waterfront for lunch (own account) before an afternoon visit to the famous Two Oceans Aquarium. (B)
Day 3. Full day visiting Grootbos.
Today you will proceed to Grootbos Nature Reserve. At Grootbos the children's activities are not just activities – they are a combination of education and fun in our wonderful nature setting.
After a gourmet lunch enjoy a tailor made afternoon of whale watching in season (June–December), a visit to Klipcat Cave or a stroll along the endless white beaches and explore the many treasures of Walker Bay. End the day with a snack before heading back to Cape Town later afternoon. (BL)
Cape Town at Sunset
Day 4. Cape Town at Leisure.
Today you will spend the day at leisure. You have a choice of many optional activities. (B)
Day 5. Cape Town to Sun City (via Johannesburg).
This morning after checking out of your hotel you will transferred to the airport for your flight to Johannesburg (flight not included). Upon arrival in Johannesburg you will transfer to Sun City, check into your hotel and the remainder of the day is at leisure to explore this resort complex. (B)
Sun City Cabanas – standard family room (2 nights)
Day 6. Exploring Sun City.
Spend the day at leisure exploring the facilities at Sun City. Children's facilities include Kamp Kwena, an adventure playground, and Animal World. (B)
Day 7 & 8. Pilanesberg.
Located around the corner from Sun City is Kwa Maritane Lodge. You will be transferred to the Lodge (meaning 'Place of the Rock') nestled on the slopes of an ancient volcano in the 'Big Five' Pilanesberg National Park. The Lodge offers a myriad of activities and a children's playground. All of this compliments the more traditional wildlife experiences of a bush lodge, from guided game drives by day and night to bush walks. (B)
Kwa Maritane Bush Lodge (2 nights)
Day 9. Pilanesberg to Johannesburg - Depart.
After a wonderful breakfast you will be transferred to Sun City for your shuttle transfer back to Johannesburg.
