Cape Town to Port Elizabeth (or v.v)
The Garden Route is legendary for its awesome natural beauty. From Cape Town to Port Elizabeth, this tour journeys across spectacular mountain passes and along a pristine coastline boasting some of South Africa's top resorts.
Day 1. Cape Town to Oudtshoorn. (Wed)
Early morning departure via the town of Montagu on 'Route 62' (South Africa's version of the famous 'Route 66') to the pretty village of Barrydale where we stop for tea (own account). Then onto Oudtshoorn, known as the 'feather capital of the world'. After a tour of an ostrich farm, continue to our Oudtshoorn hotel.

Day 2. Oudtshoorn to Knysna. (Thurs)
his morning go underground to marvel at the icy formations in the Cango Caves, regarded as one of South Africa's most spectacular natural wonders. Then drive via the spectacular Outeniqua Pass to the visually stunning town of Knysna. Spend the rest of the day at leisure. (BD)
Knysna Hollow (2 nights)
Day 3. Knysna. (Fri)
Cruise on the vast Knysna Lagoon, then visit the Featherbed Nature Reserve. Enjoy an amazing view of the imposing sandstone 'Heads' which guard the sea entrance to Knysna's huge tidal lagoon, and the forests, marshes and pristine beaches surrounding it. After lunch spend the rest of the day at leisure. (BL)
Day 4. Port Elizabeth. (Sat)
We get to Port Elizabeth mid afternoon, after a drive through the glorious indigenous Tsitsikamma Forest. The tour ends at the airport or at a central hotel. (B)
