BALI TO JAKARTA

This idea combines well with Goway's 3 day Bali Stopover and 3 day Jakarta Stopover independent travel idea.

Day 1. Bali/Surabaya/Tosari.
You will be met at your Bali hotel at approximately 10:00AM and transferred to the airport for a short flight at 12.00PM to Surabaya. Travel overland south to the mountain resort of Tosari. Remainder of the day is at your leisure. (L)

Day 2. Tosari/Mount Bromo/Yogyakarta.
Early morning visit to Mount Bromo. Later travel overland to Jombang and by train to Yogyakarta. (BL)

Day 3. Yogyakarta.
Full day's sightseeing in Yogyakarta including the Sultan's Palace, the amazing Hindu temple complex of Prambanan and a demonstration of Batik making and silver factory. This evening, enjoy a dinner and dance performance of the traditional Javanese Ramayana Ballet. (BLD)

Day 4. Yogyakarta/Baturaden.
Travel through picturesque rice fields and small towns to the famed Buddhist temple of Borobudur built in the 8th Century. Continue to Dieng Plateau to view the remains of a vast complex of Hindu sanctuaries, the oldest in Indonesia. Continue to Baturaden. (BL)

Day 5. Baturaden/Bandung.
Travel through mountains covered with tropical foliage to Bandung, capital of West Java. En route stop at the small villages of Naga and Tasikmalaya, well known for rattan weaving. (BL)

Day 6. Bandung.
Tour the city, the third largest in Indonesia and known as the "Paris of the East" including the Merdeka building and the Old Dutch area of Jalan Braga. Later visit the Tangkuban Prahu Crater with its breathtaking peaks. Enjoy a swim in the hot springs. (BL)

Day 7. Bandung/Jakarta.
Depart from Bandung around 11:00AM and continue overland to Jakarta for an arrival into Jakarta around 3:00PM (BL)
