A two week experience of two different cultures. Enjoy the highlights of India and then unwind or go shopping in the vibrant resort of Dubai situated in the United Arab Emirates.
Day 1 & 2. Depart North America. Fly from your home city to either Toronto or New York to connect with Etihad Airways direct flight from Canada or via Europe from the US to Abu Dhabi where you connect to the onward Etihad Airways flight to Delhi.
Day 3. Arrive Delhi. On arrival, you will be met and transferred to your choice of hotel. Remainder of the day at leisure.
Days 4. Delhi sightseeing. In the morning, visit Qutab Minar, India Gate, the Presidential Palace, the Red Fort and the 16th. Century tomb of Humayun.
This afternoon, visit this bustling, busy area of winding back streets and colourful ambience. Afterwards, visit The Red Fort and Raj Ghat, the cremation site of Mahatma Ghandi. B
Day 5. Delhi to Jaipur. Depart by road for Jaipur. In the afternoon, enjoy a tour of the city including visits to the City Palace and the Stone Observatory. B
Day 6. Jaipur. Journey back in time at the deserted 17th Century Amber Fortress. Ascend to the fortress by Elephant. B
Day 7. Jaipur to Ranthambore. Leave from Jaipur by road to the Ranthambore Tiger Sanctuary. Arrive around noon at wildlife resort and check in. In the afternoon, a wildlife animal safari to the jungle in an open jeep. Overnight at the lodge BLD
Day 8. At Ranthambore. An early morning drive into the dense jungle of Ranthambore in a jeep for tiger tracking and bird watching. Also indulge in wildlife photography. The jungle visits last about three hours Explore the wild surroundings or bird watching in Ranthambore National Park. Return to the lodge for lunch. Afternoon drive into the jungle for another wildlife safari. BLD
Day 9. Ranthambore Tiger Sanctuary to Agra.Take an early morning Express train to Bharatpur where you continue by road to Agra with a stop at Fatehpur Sikri, the Ghost city of Emperor Akbar the Great. B
Day 10. Agra. This morning, experience the amazing monument to love, the Taj Mahal built in 1630 by the Emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his beloved wife. In the afternoon, depart by road for Delhi and overnight B
Day 11. Delhi/Dubai. Fly to today directly to Abu Dhabi where you will be met and transferred to your choice of hotel for 2 nights accommodation. B
Day 12. Dubai sightseeing. In the afternoon, enjoy a tour of the fascinating sights that make up Dubai including a visit to the magnificent Jumeira Mosque, the old merchant houses in Bastakia, the 150 year old Al Fahidi Fort and also have a trip on a boat called an Abra. B
Day 13. At leisure. Before transferring to the airport for your departure. If you have the time, why not stay longer. Below you will find some more fabulous extension ideas. B
