SUMMER FESTIVALS IN JAPAN

Summer in Japan is very exciting! There are many festivals, or “Matsuri” in Japanese, during July and August throughout the country. This is ideal for those wanting to experience Japanese culture independently, and with many optional tours available to keep you busy.
Day 1. Arrive Tokyo. Upon arrival at Narita International Airport, you will be met and given assistance to the bus for transfer to your hotel. Remainder of the day at leisure.
Day 2. Tokyo. Morning is free at leisure, or you may choose to take an optional Tokyo morning city tour. In the afternoon get ready for the Summer Festival by wearing your “Hanten” a traditional kimono-style short and slip-over coat wore by the townspeople during the Edo Period, and is still worn in modern-day Japan.
You will be escorted to the festival site to enjoy delicious Japanese food and Sake, as well as a firework display at the end of the night. Return to your hotel late evening.
Day 3-4. Tokyo. The remaining days are free at leisure. You may choose to take some more of our popular day tours to see the famous Mt Fuji or visit the World Heritage site of Nikko and Kegon Waterfall. In the evening, we recommend heading to the outdoor Beer Garden or the hottest clubs in Roppongi to enjoy your last night in Tokyo.
Day 5. Tokyo to your next destination. At leisure before being transferred to the airport by bus.
