The city of Gyeongju is an internationally acclaimed cultural and historic area. Being called "The Museum Without Walls", Gyeongju has been designated by UNESCO as one of the world's ten historic sites, including the two supreme treasures of the Bulguksa Temple and the Seokguram Grotto. Head down to the south eastern coast and visit the largest port city of Busan, where the most popular beaches are located. Take a pleasure boat cruise on the cleanest man made Chungju Lake, and ride a cable car to visit temples and see Korea's national treasures. Experience all the unique essence of Asian culture in South Korea.

Day 1 Mon. Arrive in Seoul.
Welcome to the capital! Seoul is a city of the incredible contrasts which, despite its immense size, make it one of the most fascinating cities in the world. The new and the ancient co-exist in the perfect harmony.

On arrival you will be met by Goway's representative and transferred to your hotel by airport limousine bus for 3 nights accommodation. Remainder of day at leisure.

Day 2 Tue. Seoul sightseeing.
Today you will be taken on a city tour of Seoul, including Deoksugung Palace, Secret Garden, pass by the Blue House (Presidential Palace), Jogyesa Temple, South Gate Open Market, and Insadong Shopping Street. (BL)

Day 3 Wed. Seoul/Korean Folk Village.
The morning is at your leisure. After lunch, drive to the Korean Folk Village outside of Seoul and see the traditional life styles and houses of the 18th to 19th century. Showcasing Korea's traditional folklore customs, you will witness the unique scenes of people in ancient costumes living and working in exactly the same manners as in the past. Return back to your hotel in Seoul. (BL)

Day 4 Thu. DMZ & the Third Infiltration Tunnel.
After breakfast, drive to the Demilitarized Zone (DMZ) and the Third Infiltration Tunnel, which is located 44 km northwest of Seoul. From the Dora Observation Platform you can get a view of North Korean territory including the Propaganda Village, People's School and Gaeseong City, the old capital city of the Goryeo Kingdom. Also visit Freedom Park and the Exhibition Hall, where you will see the lifestyle of North Korean, and the old tanks and planes used for the Korean War. Return to Seoul and proceed to Gyeongju and overnight. (BL)

Day 5 Fri. Gyeongju/Busan.
Today is a full day's sightseeing in Gyeongju including Cheomseongdae Astronomical Observatory, Royal Tumuli Park, Gyeongju National Museum, Bulguksa Temple, and Seokguram Grotto Temple. Proceed to Busan for the next 2 nights accommodation. (BL)

Day 6 Sat. Busan.
Busan is a major port city boasting a coastline with fine beaches, scenic islets and tall mountains. After breakfast a tour of Busan including Busan Tower, Jagalchi Fishery Market, Nampodong Shopping Street, UN Memorial Cemetery, Busan Municipal Museum, and Busan Haeundae Beach. (BL)

Day 7 Sun. Busan/Haeinsa Temple/Daegu City.
This morning drive to Mt. Gayasan National Park and visit the Haeinsa Temple. Built in 802 A.D. during the Shilla Dynasty, it is one of the most beautiful temples in Korea set amongst the mountains. The temple contains the world famous Korean cultural treasure, the Tripikata Koreana, which consists of 81,258 wooden printing blocks and added to the UNESCO World Cultural Heritage List. Proceed to Daegu city for overnight. (BL)

Day 8 Mon. Daegu/Andong/Chungju Lake.
After breakfast proceed to Andong, the best preserved village with its traditional Korean life style and houses. The Hahoe Village in Andong is famous for its unique mask dancing performance. Then drive to Chungju Lake and overnight. (BL)

Day 9 Tue. Chungju/Mt. Seorak.
This morning, take a boat cruise to enjoy the lakeside scenery of Chungju Lake. Chungju Lake is the largest man made lake at 6,648 square kilometers, and the cleanest multi-purpose reservoir in Korea. Visit the Cheongpung Cultural Property Complex before proceeding to Mt. Seorak for overnight. (BL)

Day 10 Wed. Mt. Seorak/Seoul.
Mt. Seroak, often referred to as 'The Alps of Asia' due to its breath-taking scenery, is located on the northern stretch of Korea's eastern coast. Tour the Shinheungsa Temple and take the cable car to Gwonkeumseong Fortress. Then return to Seoul via Gangneung City, visiting Chamsori Gramophone & Audio Museum, which boasts an incredible collection of the 19th century gramophones and the first generation audio systems. Overnight in Seoul. (BL)

Day 11 Thu. Seoul to your next destination.
The morning is free at your leisure until your transfer to the airport by airport limousine bus for your onward journey. (B)
