Malaysia's capital city is a curious blend of the old and new. It's a modern and fast moving city although the traffic never takes on the nightmare proportions of Bangkok. It has gleaming high-rise office blocks beside multilane highways, yet the old colonial architecture still manages to stand out proudly.
It is also a blend of cultures- the Malay capital with a vibrant Chinatown, and Indian quarter. KL as it's almost always called, started in the 1860s when a band of prospectors in search of tin landed at the meeting point of the Kelang and Gombak rivers and named it Kuala Lumpur.
Malaysia's capital is a colourful city of tree-lined streets, where imposing modern architecture vies with graceful Moorish style for your attention.
Day 1. Arrive Kuala Lumpur.
You will be met by Goway's representative and transferred to your chosen hotel. Balance of the day at leisure.
Day 2. Kuala Lumpur sightseeing.
Today's 3 1/2 hour city tour is a must for a first time visitor to KL. This interesting tour will unveil the beauty and charm of the old and new Kuala Lumpur known as the “Garden City of Lights.” See the contrast of the magnificent skyscrapers against buildings of the colonial days. This tour will take you to many of the highlights that the city has to offer including a photo stop at Petronas Towers, a visit to a handicraft market, a photo stop at the King’s Palace, a visit to the National Monument and National Museum (excludes entrance fee), a photo stop at the National Mosque and a visit to the Sultan Abdul Samad Building. Day 3. Kuala Lumpur to your next stop.
