FAR EAST TRIVIA
Long before Marco Polo, China was a fascinating destination for travellers. The mystery is still there, waiting to be discovered on one of Goway's travel ideas.
We invite you to travel to the Orient in the "Year of the Snake". See Chinese Zodiac.
SPECIAL NOTE
Before you visit China, we strongly recommend that you pre-arrange everything, including internal travel. If you do all this through Goway, you can focus your attention on enjoying one of the world's most exciting travel destinations.
Mongolia
Mongolia is the world's largest landlocked country. It spans 1,490 miles from west to east and 783 miles from north to south. The nation was bigger still during the 12th and 13th centuries when warrior Genghis Khan united warring tribes and launched his powerful cavalry against his neighbours. Genghis's grandson Kublai Khan continued his grandfather's plans for world domination, only ceasing when he had created the largest empire the world has ever known, stretching from Korea to Hungary and as far south as Vietnam. Though the western image of Genghis Khan is that of a merciless warmonger, modern Mongolians revere their legendary ancestor as a strong and unifying leader.
