Day 1. Arrive Yangon.
Upon arrival into Yangon, you will be met and transferred from the airport to your hotel. The remainder of the day is at your leisure.

Day 2. Yangon.
Today begins with a Yangon city tour which will take you to the diplomatic area, highlighting some of the rich colonial architecture dating back from the British occupation to the downtown area. Stops will be made at famous landmarks including the Sule Pagoda, which is over 2500 years old and occupies the centre of the city. This is an important space in contemporary Burmese politics, ideology and geography. Continue onto the beautiful Chauk Htat Gyi Pagoda, famous for it Reclining Buddha. After lunch, visit the General Aung San House Museum which is a museum dedicated to General Aung San, considered to be the Father of modern-day Burma. Established in 1962, the two-story museum was Aung San's last residence before his assassination in July 1947. It is a colonial-era villa, built in 1921, where his daughter Aung San Suu Kyi grew up as a child.  His place in history as the Architect of Burmese Independence and a national hero is assured both from his own legacy and due to the activities of his daughter.  For many years, the museum was opened only for three hours each year. The museum formally reopened on 24 March 2012. There will be time for a photo stop at Kandawgyi Royal Barge. Before sunset, visit the Shwedagon Pagoda, the most famous landmark in Yangon and the most sacred Buddhist pagoda for the Burmese. It is 99 metres and dominates the skyline of the city. Enjoy dinner at local restaurant before returning back to your hotel. (BLD)

Day 3. Yangon/Mandalay - Amarapura
Today starts with a short early morning flight to Mandalay, the second-largest city in Myanmar and the last royal capital. It is located on the banks of the Irrawaddy, considered the centre of Burmese culture. On arrival transfer to Amarapura, 11 KM south of Mandalay and one of the capitals of the third Myanmar Empire. It is now a township of Mandalay. Visit the U Bein Bridge (the longest teak bridge in the world) and explore traditional silk weaving factories in Amarapura for which the township is known for. Then drive to Mandalay and transfer to your hotel for check-in. After lunch, visit Mahamuni Pagoda, a sacred icon. The image is considered to be the greatest in Myanmar next to the Shwedagon. Also visit the historical Golden Palace Monastery (Shwenandaw Monastery) and Kuthodaw Pagoda, home to the world's largest book. Drive to the top of Mandalay hill for a beautiful view of the sunset over Mandalay. Have dinner and transfer to your hotel in Mandalay.  (BLD)

Day 4. Mandalay - Mt.Popa - Bagan
Begin with an early Morning drive from Mandalay to the ancient city of Bagan. Bagan was once the capital of the Kingdom of Pagan from the 9th-13th centuries. During the kingdom's height, over 10,000 Buddhist temples, pagodas and monasteries were constructed. Today over 2200 temples and pagodas remain in the Bagan plains. On the drive from Mandalay to Bagan much of the natural beauty, culture and local way of life in the countryside can be observed. En route to Bagan, visit Mount Popa, the once volcanic mountain which can be seen from the Irrawaddy River as far away as 60 KM in clear weather. Have lunch at Popa Mountain Restaurant. Arrive into Bagan this afternoon and transfer to your hotel where you can relax. If time allows you can see the sun set atop one of the pagodas overlooking the banks of the Irrawaddy River. Dinner will be at a local restaurant in Bagan. (BLD)

Day 5. Bagan.
This morning visit the Nyaung-Oo local Market where you can interact with locals selling their goods. Today you will explore the many temples in Bagan including the Shwezigon Pagoda and Gubyaukgyi Pagoda, a 13th Century temple noted for its wall paintings depicting scenes from the previous lives of Buddha. Also see the Buddhidt Htilominlo Pagoda and the highly revered Ananda Temple, known as one of the finest, largest, and best preserved of the Bagan temples.  Have lunch and return to your hotel. Bagan is also famous for its artistic handicrafts and you will visit a lacquer ware store and one of the local villages.  Later explore the ancient pagodas via a pony cart ride. In the early evening enjoy a private cruise along the Irrawaddy River to see Bagan as the sun goes down with a panoramic view of the magnificent ruins. Dinner at local restaurant and overnight at your hotel in Bagan. (BLD)

Day 6. Bagan/Yangon.
This morning transfer to the airport for your short flight back to Yangon. On arrival, visit the National museum famous for the Lion Throne. Have lunch and afterwards you have time to shop in the 70 yearold Scott market (also know as the Bogyoke Aung San Market) where you can buy antique Burmese handicrafts, jewellery, art and other traditional goods. It is a major bazaar with inner cobblestone streets and colonial architecture. Also visit the flower and fruit market in China town. Tonight have dinner and overnight at your hotel in Yangon. (BLD)

Day 7. Yangon Departure
Today transfer to the Yangon airport for your departure flight. (B)
