BANAUE RICE TERRACES AND LUZON

Day 1. Manila to Banaue.
An early morning start from your hotel will have you soon on your way through villages and countryside as you climb higher and higher into the hills reaching beautiful Banaue.
Day 2. Breathtaking Rice Terraces.
Board a local jeepney for a ride to a Banga-an village, accessible after a short hike from the main road. Continue to a vantage point to view the 2,000 year old rice terraces. If placed end to end, the Banaue Rice Terraces would reach halfway around the world and is now a UNESCO World Heritage site. Visit a local home to get a glimpse of their daily life. (B)
Day 3. Sagada/Bontoc Tour.
Today visit the picturesque town of Sagada and visit their ancient burial caves and mummified coffins. Also stop at the Bontoc Museum home to a varied collection of authentic artifacts and photos of mountain tribes. Watch a cultural show combining song and dance native to the region and interpretive of the traditions of the local tribes. (B)
Day 4. Banaue to Manila.
Return back through the countryside to your hotel in Manila. (B)

This is a join-in group tour that departs every Thursday. The option to upgrade to private touring (departing daily) can be arranged for a surcharge. Departures between June and September require a minimum of 5 passengers to operate.
Please note: This overland tour, travelling by road can be bumpy. We recommend this tour only for children aged 11 years and older.
