Thailand provides the perfect place to enjoy warm sunshine while combining the opportunity to experience a different culture. This naturally includes the local cuisine.

Your Thai Sun Escape starts with a short stay in the always exciting capital city, Bangkok which will give you a flavour of the country as a whole before you head off to Samui.

Bangkok, the Thai capital since 1782, is a national treasure house. Major attractions include Buddhist temples, palaces, floating markets, "Venice of the East" canal scenes, classical dancing performances, legendary night life, and numerous shops selling Thai silk, gemstones, bronze and pewter ware. No wonder this exotic city is called "The City of Angels."

Samui is located on the south east coast of Thailand and has a selection of beaches all of which offer white sand and greeny blue seas. It is one of the prettiest islands in Thailand. The interior has jungle-like hillsides and cool waterfalls whose beauty is rivaled by few other places in the country. Snorkeling and scuba diving are close at hand.

YOUR ITINERARY (Depart any day)

Days 1 - 2. Depart North America on Cathay Pacific en route for Hong Kong. Cross the international dateline and "lose" a calendar day which is regained on the return trip.

Day 3. Arrive Bangkok. Connect in Hong Kong in the morning for your flight to Bangkok. On arrival you will be met and transferred to your hotel for the next 3 nights. Welcome to Thailand.

Days 4 and 5. Bangkok. Visit the famous Grand Palace and its colourful temples including the reclining Buddha. The remainder of the day and Thursday are free to explore Bangkok further.

Days 6 - 12. Bangkok to Samui. A short flight to this beautiful island. Transfer to the hotel of your choice for the next 7 nights. Enjoy your Thai Sun Escape. Relax, swim, explore the island or take excursions, which can be arranged by our local representatives. Snorkelling and Scuba Diving can also easily be arranged locally.

Day 13. Samui to North America. Transfer to Phuket airport for your flight to Bangkok where you connect to your flight to North America via Hong Kong.
