Mekong River Cruise - Le Cochinchine Boat

Trip RouteLE COCHINCHINE is entirely made of wood in a hull built of Oak (go sao), Long of 27 m and wide of 6 m 50, the Vietnamese essence traditionally used for quality ships and now a rare deed and is powered by an Isuzu (450 HP) engines and 1 generator 35KVA (220V-50HZ).

It accommodates 20 passengers in 10 cabins with air conditioner and private bathroom with hot water. 1 living-room (6m x 3m), 1 restaurant and bar 7m*6m, a wide upper deck for contemplate sunset with an aperitif.

Day 1: Cai Be - Can Tho (LD)

10h00 board Le Cochinchine boat. Explore the lively Cai Be floating market. Walking, you will visit the handicraft village of the local people. Sightseeing also includes old houses and sampling the various tropical fruits.

10h00 On board and continue to Cantho via Cho Lach and Tra On.

12h00 Disembark at Cho Lach village. Enjoy a pleasant walk or bike on the footpaths of the countryside to discover tropical fruit orchards and the local people's activities.

Cruise on to Tra On. Enjoy the magnificent sunset on the river. Leisurely cruise up the Mekong River while enjoying the beautiful scenery and the aperitifs.

Dinner and overnight on board in Tra On.

Day 2: Tra On - Can Tho (B)

The noise of the floating market will cause you to wake up early in the morning. After breakfast, the cruise continues to Can Tho. Enjoy the magnificent sunrise on the river while leisurely cruising up the Bassac River.

Arrive Can Tho, where a small boat will take you explore the Cai Rang market, one of the most bustling floating markets in Mekong Delta with hundreds of small boats barging and jostling for space as owners attempt to sell their goods. And through the palm-shaded creek to see local houses and green orchards.

Day 1: Can Tho - Cai Be

11h00 Boarding Le Cochinchine boat at Ninh Kieu jetty.

A small boat will take you to explore the Cai Rang market one of the most bustling floating markets in Mekong Delta with hundreds of small boats barging and jostling for space as owners attempt to sell their goods. A small boat will take you through the palm-shaded creek to see local houses and green orchards.

Return to the boat. The cruise continues to Cai Bbe via Tra On.

Leisurely cruise down the Mekong while enjoying the beautiful scenery. Lunch on board.

After lunch disembark then a pleasant walk on the footpaths of the countryside to discover tropical fruit orchards and the local people's activities. Sample various tropical fruits in Lach village.

Then return the boat to cruise to Cai Be. Enjoy the magnificent sunset on the Co Chien River.

Dinner and overnight on board in Cai Be.

Day 2: Cai Be - Saigon (B)

After breakfast on board, explore the lively Cai Be floating market in early morning and visit the handicraft village of the local people. Take a small boat trip through rivulets of the Tan Phong islands. A pleasant walk on the footpaths of the village and once again discover tropical fruit orchards.

10h00 Disembark in Cai Be then take back the car for Saigon.
