One of the world's natural wonders, Halong Bay features more than one thousand awesome limestone karsts and islands of various sizes and shapes along its 20 km/75 mile coastline.
Day 1. Hanoi/Halong Bay.
Depart Hanoi at 8:00AM this morning for an overland drive to Halong Bay. Made famous when it was featured in the French film Indochine, Halong Bay is dotted with thousands of limestone karsts, their jagged points jutting out of an oceanic area of over 1500 sq. kilometres.
Considered Vietnam's natural wonder, it is also believed to be home to its very own Loch Ness monster! After checking into your hotel, you will then enjoy a peaceful cruise onboard a traditional junk on Halong Bay with a delicious seafood lunch. The junk boat will stop at some of the grottoes and caves on the islands which you can explore on foot. Overnight at your hotel in Halong City. (L)
Day 2. Halong Bay/Hanoi.
After breakfast at your hotel, return today by road to Hanoi, stopping for lunch en route at a local restaurant. Arrive back into Hanoi city around 3:00PM. Remainder of the day is at your leisure. (BL)
