Day 1. Arrive Hanoi.
Upon arrival in Hanoi you will be met and transferred to your hotel. Tonight meet your tour leader (or local guide) for welcome drinks and a tour briefing.

Day 2. Hanoi.
Explore Hanoi with a walking tour through the Old Quarter, a visit to historic Ba Dinh Square and the Ho Chi Minh Quarter, the infamous Hoa Lo (Hanoi Hilton) prison and the peaceful Temple of Literature, before an evening theatrical water puppet performance. (B)

Day 3. Hanoi to Halong Bay.
Journey east and spend a magical night onboard your private boat on Halong Bay. (BLD)

Day 4. Halong Bay to Hoi An.
Disembark and drive back to Hanoi. This afternoon board your flight south to the city of Da Nang, transfer to your hotel in Hoi An. (BL)

Day 5. Hoi An.
Begin the day with a walking and market tour of Hoi An with the students of ‘Streets’ organisation. The rest of the day is free to explore this quaint town with its many galleries, handicraft shops, tailors and cafes – or relaxing at your hotel. (B)

Day 6. Hoi An to Hue.
This morning drive to Hue via the spectacular Hai Van pass. Visit the tombs of the former Nguyen Dynasty Emperor – Tu Duc and the ancient citadel. Visit the workers of Spiral Foundation. (B)

Day 7. Hue to Saigon.
Fly to Saigon and see the sights of old and new Saigon in the central ‘French quarter’ and the bustling market streets. (B)

Day 8. Saigon & Cu Chi.
Visit the infamous Cu Chi Tunnels to see one of the communist strongholds in the south during the Vietnam War. (B)

Day 9. Saigon & Can Tho.
Explore the Mekong Delta’s canals, orchards and towns by boat before heading to Can Tho in the heart of the Mekong. (BL)

Day 10. Can Tho to Saigon.
Visit the famous floating market of Cai Rang, before returning to Saigon. (B)

Day 11. Depart Saigon.
Today you will be transferred to the airport for your onward journey. (B)
