Groups Sales Coordinator - WHOLESALE - Toronto, Canada
Responsibilities:
- Control all aspects of the group proposal process, from calculation of price and creating itinerary text to achieve a professional presentation
- Work closely with Goway Sales Consultants and in-house support staff to complete the proposal
- Follow up on a regular schedule with travel agents and/ or group organizers to secure business and close sale
- Book all land and air arrangements once group is secured, and liaise with travel agent as necessary
- Complete final invoicing and oversee completion of final itinerary and documents
- Source new group potential using existing database, new group contacts, etc
- Represent Goway Groups at trade shows/ seminars/ consumer shows
Qualifications:
- Minimum two (2) years experience selling group travel, including two years of experience selling long-haul groups to South Pacific, Asia, and/or Africa
- Ability to work with sales targets and motivated by the opportunity to earn high commissions
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and conflicting deadlines
- Strong interpersonal, communication and time management skills
- Knowledge of Amadeus and Microsoft Office Suite

Travel Sales Consultant - WHOLESALE - Toronto, Canada
Responsibilities:
- Convert and close inquiries into sales
- Manage Goway's current travel agent account relationships and maximize the potential return
- Create customized travel itineraries encompassing air and land arrangements
- Manage files from inquiry stage, follow up, closing the sale, processing the reservation to final release of documentation
- Utilize supplier tariffs and special contracts
- Utilize communication vehicles to promote Goway product and services - email, advertising, company newsletter, phone, etc.
- Train travel agents on Goway's products & services
- Represent Goway at trade shows/ seminars/ consumer shows
Reports to: Reservations Manager, Africa
Qualifications:
- Proven superior selling skills, with a proven track record of selling East and Southern Africa
- Ability to work with sales targets and motivated by the opportunity to earn commission
- Ability to work shifts with rotating Saturdays
- Proficient with GDC, preferably Amadeus and Microsoft Office
- Excellent verbal & written communication skills
- Superior customer service skills
- Team player with a 'can do' attitude
