Here we have made travel around Australia easy. If you are on holiday, visiting friends or relatives, or on business, you can get about whenever and wherever you like with a vehicle arranged by Goway. For the following program we have negotiated, for you, special rates with Hertz Australia.
Certain restrictions apply on car rentals in the Northern Territory and Western Australia. Details available at time of booking. Goway's car rentals combine well with our hotel passes, and let you free-wheel it around the highways and backroads Downunder.

PRICE INCLUDES:
Unlimited Kilometres, Damage Cover (DC) for the Hertz vehicle and Third Party Property (subject to an excess which can be reduced), Vehicle Registration Recovery (VRR), Administration Recovery, Government Stamp Duty, Third Party Injury Liability, Airport Concession Fee Recovery (ACFR) and GST @ 10%
NOT INCLUDED:
Accident Damages Excess (ADE), Single Vehicle Accident (SVA) Excess, Optional Renter Protection Services, Insurance Options, Location Service Charge, Fuel, One Way Fees, Optional Extras (baby seats etc). All extras are subject to Government Stamp Duty and GST at a rate of 10%.
CONDITIONS:
DRIVER'S LICENCE
Renters must present a valid driver's licence that has been held for at least one year. A foreign driver's licence issued in a language other than English must be accompanied by a certified English translation of the licence or a current International Drivers Permit. Both the International Drivers Permit and the driver's national driver's licence must be presented at the time of rental. Minimum age to rent is 21 years, 25 for Group M. There is no set maximum driving age, however, a medical certificate is recommended from drivers over 75.
Young driver surcharge: Drivers from 21 to 24 years will be required to pay a surcharge of A$27.50 per day (inc GST). Maximum fee A$192.50 per rental (inc GST)
DEPOSITS:
All rentals are subject to a deposit to cover additional costs such as Optional Renter Protection Services and fuel. Hertz accepts all major credit cards (Hertz Charge Cards are not accepted). The credit card presented must be in the name of the authorised renter. If the authorised renter does not hold a card acceptable to Hertz, please see below:
CASH DEPOSITS
Authorised renters presenting an Inclusive Tour Voucher (ITV) and no credit card will be required to leave a minimum deposit of A$400 cash (A$ Travellers Cheques acceptable). Cash deposits are only acceptable on car classes A, B, C, S, D and E. Cash Deposits are not accepted at the Broome and Kununurra locations.
INSURANCE:
For your protection all vehicles are insured for damage to the vehicle or to the property of a third party, subject to damage excess. The hirer will be responsible for the following damage excess should your vehicle be involved in an accident.
Cars: AUD$3300 for accident damage excess. An additional AUD$2200 for single vehicle accident damage excess if you rent in Northern Territory or Western Australia.
Four-Wheel Drives: AUD$4400 for accident damage excess plus AUD$4400 for single vehicle accident damage excess.
INSURANCE OPTIONS:
Cars: Purchase Accident Excess Reduction at AUD$27 per day (AUD$27 per day for Northern Territory and Western Australia rentals) and this will reduce the accident damage excess to AUD$400
Four-Wheel Drives:
Purchase Accident Excess Reduction at AUD$53 per day and this will reduce the accident damage excess to $400 plus $2200 for single vehicle accident damages
ONE WAY RENTALS:
For an additional fee you may book a one way rental as Hertz has depots throughout Australia. However, one-way rentals are subject to standard one-way rental conditions applicable at time of rental. One-way rentals are permitted for car groups B, C, S, D, E, V & R. One-way rentals into or out of Tasmania are not permissible. The minimum one-way rental period is three days within a metro region (except Perth) and seven days for rentals across regions.
