Day 1. Sydney to Canberra. Today our highlights are a barbecue lunch, sheep shearing demonstration at a working sheep station, a city tour of Canberra and a guided tour of Parliament House. This evening enjoy a welcome drink with your Tour Director.

Day 2. Snowy Mountains. Our highlights today include: charming Cooma, gateway to the Snowy Mountains; Lake Jindabyne and stunning mountain scenery in Kosciuszko National Park. We also enjoy a journey along the picturesque Alpine Way and a unique overnight stay in one of the Bed & Breakfast properties in historic Beechworth.

Day 3. Beechworth to Melbourne. This morning we take a sightseeing tour of historic Beechworth with time to explore the galleries, gardens, and antique and gift shops. Later, we'll see the museum and then it's on through Ned Kelly country to culturally diverse and totally cosmopolitan Melbourne. 3 day passengers depart tour on arrival in Melbourne.

Day 4. Melbourne "free time". You have a full day at leisure to explore Melbourne at your own pace - perhaps visit Phillip Island and its famous fairy penguins, try your luck gold panning at Sovereign Hill or simply enjoy the wonderful shopping and great cafés and restaurants. B
Day 5. Great Ocean Road. Today we experience incredible coastal scenery along the famous Great Ocean Road including the amazing Twelve Apostles, London Bridge and Loch Ard Gorge formations in Port Campbell National Park. You can also look for whales off the scenic coastline of Warrnambool (May and October) "6 day passengers join the tour this morning"

Day 6. Tower Hill- Mt. Gambier. This morning we visit Worn Gundidi at Tower Hill State Game Reserve. The area was a rich food source for the Koroitgundidj people whose descendants retain links with this country. Our guide will provide us with an Aboriginal perspective about flora, wildlife, volcanic formations, bush existence and medicinal practices. Then marvel at the pristine vistas before we continue through picturesque Port Fairy, along the coast and over the border to South Australia. We skirt the Lower Glenelg National Park into Mt. Gambier for a city tour and stop to look at the spectacular and mysterious Blue Lake.

Day 7. Adelaide.Travel to Penola in the heart of the Coonawarra, where Australia's first saint Mary MacKillop founded the order of the Sisters of St. Joseph, then on through Naracoorte, en route to Adelaide, the gorgeous 'City of Churches'.

Day 8. Victor Harbor. Visit the seaside suburb of Glenelg before continuing to the Fleurieu Peninsula. Travel by ferry to Kangaroo Island for our two night stay. Tonight we'll have dinner at the Aurora Ozone Hotel, overlooking the spectacular Backstair Passage.

Day 9. Kangaroo Island. Today explore Kangaroo Island! At Seal Bay, take a guided tour along the beach among the Australian Sea Lions. There is also time for koala, wallaby and kangaroo spotting at Flinders Chase National Park. Tonight ‘You Are Invited' by the Hannaford family to Middle River for a Shearers Feast. Relax with a pre-dinner drink on the croquet lawn (try your hand at a spot of croquet or perhaps spot some wildlife by torchlight) then stroll to the old shearing shed, built from old sugar gum trees and corrugated iron, for a candle-lit casual dinner, prepared from local produce.

Day 10. Barossa Valley. Travel to the picturesque Barossa Valley. We visit a winery for a tour and tasting then relax and watch the sunset. 10 day passengers leave the tour today at Adelaide Airport.

Day 11. Mildura. We visit Banrock Station, before crossing in to Victoria. See the mighty Murray River and Mildura, referred to as ‘the Mediterranean in the Outback’.

Day 12. Wagga Wagga. Enjoy the picturesque scenery of the Riverina. We overnight in the rural city of Wagga Wagga, with its river, lake and spectacular gardens.

Day 13. Blue Mountains – Sydney. Our scenic journey today is packed with Australian icons. Your tour ends at Sydney Airport. B
