ALICE SPRINGS AND AYERS ROCK
3 days
Day 1. Arrive Alice Springs. The famous "Town like Alice", where you will be met and transferred to your hotel. The remainder of the day is at leisure. Tonight you might like to visit the Casino or "take a camel to dinner" (own expense).
Day 2. Alice Springs to Ayers Rock & Olgas. Off early by coach and travel through changing scenery from the MacDonnell Ranges, over the Finke River into the semi-arid desert country that surrounds Ayers Rock and the Olgas. After visiting the Olgas, see the setting sun light up "The Rock", the world's largest monolith. Overnight at the magnificent Ayers Rock Resort.
Day 3. Ayers Rock to you next stop. All morning is spent visiting the area, with time to climb "The Rock" if you wish. You'll hear some of the Aboriginal mythology and legends that surround this area. There is also time to visit the Uluru-Kata Tjuta Cultural Center. After your tour, transfer to the airport for you onward flight.
