There are 60 individual pavilions, all boasting stunning vistas of the Whitsundays and some featuring plunge pools.

You can also find peace in your favourite pleasure. The term "qualia" (pronounced "kwahleea") is of Latin derivative used predominately by philosophers to refer to a collection of sensory experiences. It is a term that is hard to define, but perfectly fits the true essence of our resort. It is about the effect that it has on each individual who experiences it.

The beautiful ocean breeze from the Coral Sea, the sound of water rushing over the pebble shore, the rustling of leaves, the distinctive scent of the eucalyptus trees and the taste sensations created by our world-class chefs.

Qualia is embedded in 30 acres of tropical garden landscape on the northern most tip of Hamilton Island. Accessible by direct flights from Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide and Cairns, guests are offered the positively indulgent choice of 60 individual pavilions.

Each pavilion has been erected with the least possible intervention of the surroundings and consists largely of natural materials such as rough hewn stone walls and hoop pine. Each of the beautifully appointed pavilions offers ocean views with your choice of a private plunge pool or stunning sun deck.

All pavilions at qualia are air-conditioned, non smoking rooms featuring balconies or patios, in room safes, mini bar, tea & coffee making facilities, telephones, televisions, movies on demand, CD Player / ipod docking station, DVD Player, internet access - broadband, alarm clock radios, bath with separate shower, hair dryers and ironing boards. The Beach House features all of the above plus kitchenette.

Leeward Pavilion

The 33 Leeward pavilions face west viewing the Whitsunday Passage and Coral Sea, making this an ideal sun worshipper accommodation. Each pavilion features a stunning sun deck, separate bathroom and ensuite. Maximum capacity is 2 people per pavilion. (Minimum 2 nights apply)

Windward Pavilion

The 26 Windward pavilions make the most of the curve of the northern point of the island delivering stunning ocean views. The beautifully appointed accommodation features a private salt-water plunge pool, separate bedroom and ensuite.

Maximum capacity is 2 people per pavilion. (Minimum 2 nights apply)

Beach House at qualia

With an absolute beachfront location and set in lush tropical gardens, the Beach House at qualia is the ultimate hideaway. The main pavilion features the master bedroom and ensuite, a large salt-water pool, ample indoor and outdoor dining and entertaining area.

The Beach House at qualia also offers a separate freestanding quest house. There is only 1 unique Beach House at qualia which has a maximum capacity of 4 people.

However you choose to unwind you can be catered for. Qualia's facilities include a gym, with access to a personal trainer, two serene pools, a library, private dining room, two restaurants and a bar. Qualia also features a spa to take in a variety of treatments. All guests are given a two seater golf buggy and the Beach House quests will have a 4 seater buggy to get around and explore in.

Qualia is a stunning location with access to the beautiful Great Barrier Reef. Staying at qualia you have a full range of water activities and romantic ideas right at your doorstep. Diving, snorkelling fishing and reef tours may be on your 'to do' list alternatively, you may wish to spend time on a yacht visiting the stunning Whitehaven beach or take a scenic helicopter flight to a private island for a picnic lunch. Hamilton Island is the heart of the Whitsunday's and offers more than 95 leisure activities for you to enjoy.

Spa qualia:

If it's relaxation you are looking for then look no further. The Spa at qualia offers a wide range of treatments that will rejuvenate your soul. qualia is perfectly situated to bring in the ocean breeze and tranquil views of the Whitsunday Islands. qualia continues the design of the resort into the spa, bringing in the natural woods and stone work with the back splash of the ocean, a beautiful and soft place to unwind.

There are six deluxe treatment rooms; two of the 6 rooms feature dual treatment rooms with private bathrooms, change rooms, sunken Roman baths, outdoor showers and relaxation areas for you to enjoy your sensory experience. There are four single rooms; two of the four single rooms feature outdoor showers. You can also take in a steam in qualia's steam room or enjoy the Swiss shower and relaxation areas.

Spa Qualia has two signature treatments one of which is called 'Bularri Yarrul' or 'warm stone' in the Kamilaroi language. The second signature treatment incorporates Australian handmade oils called 'Anoint's, guest can create their own blends to use in their aromatherapy massage.

Spa Qualia also features a Meditation Pavilion for yoga and meditation. You can book private time in the Meditation pavilion to meditate or have a private yoga class.

Travel Idea - 4 day

Day 1: Arrive Hamilton Island. You will be met and transferred to your accommodation. Day 2: Hamilton Island. Surrounded by the wonders of the Great Barrier Reef, Qualia puts a great many pursuits at your disposal. You can take part in a wide variety of water sports, diving and snorkelling, reef tours and fishing. Should you wish to spend your time on a yacht visiting the pristine beaches of the area or booking a scenic helicopter flight, it can be arranged (additional cost applies). BLD
