Adelaide - Murray River - Kangaroo Island
Day 1. Arrive Adelaide. Upon arrival in the "Festival City" you'll be transferred to your hotel. The rest of the day is at leisure.
Day 2. Murray River Cruise. A morning at leisure in Adelaide before travelling to Mannum to join the cruise. You may see nocturnal wildlife on the riverbank including grey kangaroos, wombats, tortoises, echidnas and many other species. D
Day 3. Murray River Cruise. Enjoy a guided nature walk before cruising upriver, to join a discovery vessel for a backwater wildlife tour. Travelling in small, personalised groups, we explore the maze of backwaters, creeks and lagoons. BLD
Day 4. Murray River Cruise. Enjoy a morning talk about the riverlands' bountiful food and wine trail. After lunch we reach the Pomberuk Aboriginal Cultural Centre; the river has been a source of life for indigenous people of the riverlands. Tonight enjoy pre-dinner drinks and the Captain's Dinner & Dance. BLD
Day 5. Murray River Cruise. After breakfast, PS Murray Princess arrives at Mannum where we reluctantly say farewell and return to Adelaide. B
Day 6. Barossa Valley. A full day excursion to the famous Barossa Valley. Originally settled by Germans, the little towns are still a picturesque part of Australia's largest wine growing area. Wine tasting and lunch are included. L
Day 7. Kangaroo Island. This morning you are transferred from Adelaide on a morning flight to Kangaroo Island. See koalas, kangaroos, seals and sea lions. Overnight at Kangaroo Island Lodge. L
Day 8. Kangaroo Island to Adelaide. Today enjoy a full day Remarkably Wild Tour. This afternoon you are transferred to the airport for your return flight to Adelaide. L
