Brisbane Harbour

Day 1. Arrive Brisbane. Welcome to the capital and Australia's Sunshine State. Private car transfers to your hotel. The remainder of the day is leisure. If you arrive early in the day we recommend a visit to the world famous Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary to cuddle a Koala and meet wombats, kangaroos, emus and other nature aussie animals. Day 2. The Sunlander Experience. Private transfer to the Brisbane Railway Station to board the Queenslander Class on the Sunlander Luxury train which departs at 8:55am. Relax in style and explore the beauty of Queensland from your window. This is a first class cruise on wheels where you will indulge in the Golden Era of Grand Train Travel for 31 wonderful hours. Day 3. Arrive Townsville. The train arrives in Townsville in the Far North. Private car transfer to your hotel for an overnight stay. Jupiters Hotel - Run of House room

Day 4. Coral Princess Cruise. Board your Coral Princess vessel at 12:30 at Breakwater Terminal for a 1:00pm departure. Cruise the Palm Group of Islands. Coral Princess - Cabin D

Day 5. Coral Princess Cruise. Be our guest on our exclusive Pelorus Island with its magnificent fringing reef, beach and rainforest. Enjoy a beach BBQ ashore. Cruise the spectacular Hinchinbrook Channel and the Family Group of Islands. Visit Dunk Island resort and enjoy a guided rainforest walk. Coral Princess - Cabin BLD

Day 6. Coral Princess Cruise. A full day is spent cruising the outer Great Barrier Reef. Experience excellent snorkelling, coral viewing and scuba diving at Nathan or Coates Reef. Overnight anchorage at Sudbury Reef lagoon. Coral Princess - Cabin BLD

Day 7. Arrive Cairns. Visit Thetford Reef for fish feeding and further time to enjoy snorkelling, coral viewing and scuba diving on the Great Barrier Reef. Arrive into Cairns at 1:30pm and transfer to your hotel. Tradewinds Hotel - Superior Ocean View BL

Day 8. Rainforest, Kuranda & Aboriginal Experience. Transfer to the Kuranda Scenic Train for a spectacular narrow gauge ride to charming Kuranda, famous for its markets. Travel into the towering rainforest on an amphibious army duck. Enjoy an Aussie cultural performance under the canopy of the rainforest. Experience a 'Dreamtime' walk with an aboriginal guide. Day 9. Depart Cairns. Today is at leisure until you are transferred to the airport for your onward flight. If you have time, we strongly recommend you stay longer in this fabulous area of Australia.
