A motorhome holiday is free and easy! It's fun and it's great value for families, friends, groups or individuals. You just stop where you like and that's home for the night because your warm, comfortable hotel-room-on-wheels has everything you need. All the facilities and equipment to cook your own meals just the way you like them and cozy, comfortable beds for a great nights sleep. PRICES:
Rates vary throughout the year. Please request prices for the dates you wish to travel. Motorhomes must be rented in New Zealand for a minimum of 5 days. The following discounts are available for long-term rentals:
BRITZ
21-34 days = 5%
35+ days = 10%
MAUI
21-34 days = 8%
35+ days = 15%
These discounts amounts are valid until 31 March 2013
ROAD USER CHARGE RECOVERY FEE
The Road User Charge Recovery fee is an additional cost. The Recovery Fee will be calculated and collected on return of the vehicle based on the kilometres travelled during the hire.
Rates also vary throughout the year. Please request prices for the dates you wish to travel.

RATES INCLUDE:
Unlimited kilometers, Vehicle Liability, Extra driver fees, Tourism Radio, Airport transfers upon vehicle collection and return (except Wellington), Supermarket Discount Card, Customer care 24 hour, 7 days per week road-service helpline (toll free), Travel wallet including map of New Zealand with driving tips and travel information, New Zealand leading attractions map including discounts to iconic tourist attractions, Goods and Services Tax (GST), Apartment Style Kitchen equipment, Freshly laundered linen and bedding, General equipment, Valet Service (Maui only) – (customers on consecutive hires of 21 days or more may visit any maui location while on hire to have their vehicle detailed and oil and water checked.
PREMIUM PACKAGE
The Premium Package is available, please enquire for pricing, and is payable in addition to the rental rate. Inclusions are: Liability Reduction Option 2*, One-way fees if applicable, Road User Charge Recovery Fee (RUCRF), Pre-Purchase Gas* (PGO), Picnic table and chairs (chairs per person travelling), Baby or booster seats if required*, Snow Chains if required, Portable Heater if required and on Maui vehicles only - GPS and Express Key Return.
NOT INCLUDED:
One way rental, Queenstown and Wellington location fees, Road User Charge Recovery Fee . Note: All rates are based on calendar days (i.e. Monday / Monday is 8 days). Motorhomes can travel inter-island. Ferries can be pre-booked for your motorhome, additional rates apply.
ONE-WAY RENTALS:
One way rentals are available between all locations. A one way fee of $300 is charged for all rentals between the North and South Islands and v.v where pick-up is between 01 October and 31 March. Queenstown and Wellington branches incur a fee of $210 in addition to the one way rental fee (if applicable).
Motorhomes can travel INTER-ISLAND. Ferry rates are additional and must be pre-booked.
DRIVER'S LICENCE:
A current domestic or international driver's licence is required by all persons intending to drive the vehicle. Minimum driver's age is 21 years.
INSURANCE:
For your protection all vehicles are insured for damage to the vehicle or to the property of a third party. The hirer is responsible for the first NZ$7500 ("The Excess") of the cost of the damage to the third party property or rented vehicle. This excess can be reduced by the purchase of Excess Reduction Options.
Option 1: Pay NZ$29 per day (max. charge NZ$1450) will reduce the excess to NZ$2500.
Option 2: Pay NZ$45 per day (max. charge NZ$2250) will reduce the excess to nil.
These options are payable at the commencement of hire. The bonds may be paid in cash, credit card or travelers cheques and are full refundable when the vehicle is returned with no damage to the vehicle or third party property.
VEHICLE SECURITY DEPOSIT
Upon vehicle collection, a vehicle security deposit is required (which must be paid by hirer’s credit card (prepaid cards not valid and service fees will apply from 2 – 4.5%). If you do not take a Liability Reduction Option, the vehicle security deposit is NZ$7,500 payable by credit card. The NZ$7,500 is debited to the hirer’s credit card when the vehicle is collected.
If Liability Reduction Option 1 has been taken the vehicle security deposit is NZ$2,500.
If Liability Reduction Option 2 is nominated or the package booked is the maui Premium Package the
vehicle security deposit is NZ$220.
The vehicle security deposit is fully refundable, provided the vehicle is returned on time,
to the correct location, undamaged, in a clean condition and with full fuel tanks and gas bottle. Maui reserves the right to retain a NZ$220 cleaning fee if the vehicle is not returned in a clean condition.
5 Day Minimum Rental Applies except 10 day min rental 23 Dec 12 – 10 Jan 13 & for one way rentals between islands 1 Oct 12 – 31 Mar 13. 7 day min rental on Britz campers 1 Sep – 31 Oct 12.
