Opened in 2001, the Hilton Auckland is a contemporary boutique hotel 300 meters out to sea and was designed with a nautical theme in mind. Resting on top of 1930's built Princes Wharf, the hotel's designer utilized this to provide extensive views from the rooms, the restaurant, bar and conference facilities. The old wharf still has the original tram tracks from when it was a working port area and both hotel guests and the public are able to walk around the outside of the hotel. The lobby features a 2-level Italian granite water fall. The hotel's unique design and location make the most of the waterfront position, with White Restaurant and Bellini Bar.

HOW TO GET THERE

The Auckland airport is approximately 25 kilometres away from Hilton Auckland and depending on the time of day, the drive takes between 30 to 45 minutes.

The Hilton Auckland is right on the harbour, next to the old America's Cup Sailing Village, in the downtown area of Auckland city. The vibrant Viaduct Harbour and Princes Wharf dining areas are within walking distance and can be easily reached in a few minutes, as can the Central Business District. Ferry piers, the Maritime Museum, Queen Street and SkyCity are less than a 10 minute walk away from the hotel.

Located within 2 to 5 kilometres from the hotel are the Auckland University, Albert Park, theatres, shopping, galleries and other museums. Parnell, Newmarket and Ponsonby are approximately 10 minutes by car. The ferry trip to Devonport on the North Shore takes just 12 minutes.

The hotel features 158 designer furnished rooms and 8 suites, spacious and welcoming, all leading onto generous private balconies and decks. Almost no two rooms are completely the same, this is a very individual hotel, offering the highest service standards.

Bellini Bar
