Sustainable Travel Abroad

Goway takes is commitment to sustainable travel seriously, helping to ensure our destinations remain healthy and vibrant for future generations. We carefully source all of our local partners to ensure ethical and sustainable travel. We’re also continually updating and fine-tuning our itineraries, in order to ensure we’re constantly improving.
Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF)
Provides emergency medical humanitarian assistance to people facing conflict, epidemics, disasters or exclusion from healthcare in more than 70 countries around the world.
Thanks to the generosity of a global community of supporters, MSF teams are able to act swiftly when an emergency strikes, based on MSF’s own assessment of medical needs. A donation to MSF’s general fund enables doctors, nurses, logisticians, and administrators, among others, to effectively implement the thousands of vital medical interventions they provide every year. It also allows MSF staff to respond quickly to unexpected emergencies, including the war in Ukraine, the Syria-Türkiye earthquakes, flooding in Pakistan, malnutrition in South Sudan and many more crises. It is crucial in emergency situations that people’s medical needs – and MSF’s ability to respond to those needs – are what determine MSF’s humanitarian actions.
We are thrilled to announce our new partnership with MSF. For every ticket/package purchased, a donation will be made to help support MSF. In addition, we encourage all our loyal customers to visit Médecins Sans Frontières/Doctors Without Borders donation page, where you can donate directly to help MSF teams continue their medical humanitarian work.
We believe travel not only enriches the lives of individuals but can also positively impact communities around the world. Through our collective partnership with MSF, your travel will directly contribute to MSF’s general emergency fund and help support people facing humanitarian crises. TOURISM CARES
We give back with Tourism Cares, the travel and tourism industry’s community for giving
and volunteering. Our support is helping to preserve and enrich the travel experience in the
US and around the world. Together we bring the industry’s talent, resources and influence
to help destinations in need, as well as support the next generation of travel professionals.
CHILDREN'S WISH FOUNDATION OF CANADA
The Children's Wish Foundation is a uniquely Canadian charity that helps Canadian children, families and communities by granting the favourite wish of a child diagnosed with a life-threatening illness.
In 2019 for the fifth year, Goway received a Valued Partner Award from the Foundation. A team of staff raised more than $10,000 to grant a wish for a child in 2019 (our 5th wish to grant.).
CANADIAN BLOOD SERVICES
September 2017 was Goway's second annual blood drive in support of Canadian Blood Services. Staff are encouraged to donate blood and in return are provided with a half-day off work plus transport to and from the clinic.
LEUKEMIA AND LYMPHOMA SOCIETY
The mission of The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of Canada is to cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease and myeloma, and improve the quality of life of patients and their families.
Since 1955,LLSC has been on the forefront of blood cancer advances such as chemotherapies and stem cell transplantation leading the way to the targeted therapies and immunotherapies that are saving thousands of lives today.
Goway participates annually in LLSC's "Light the Night Walk", and has raised more than $7500 for LLSC.
WORLD WILDLIFE FUND
World Wildlife Fund Canada is the country’s largest international conservation organization. Using the best scientific analysis and indigenous guidance, they work to conserve species at risk, protect threatened habitats, and address climate change. Their long-term vision is simple: to create a world where people and nature thrive.
In 2019 and 2018, a team of Goway Staff participated in the CN Tower Climb for Nature; tackling the 1,776 steps to make a difference while raising funds for critical conservation work here at home and around the globe.
PROJECT RHINO
Goway is committed to the preservation of the world’s unique environment and wildlife. One of our programs is to support the work done by Project Rhino.
