We had the best time on our honeymoon! We would have to say the safari was our highlight. We highly recommend the thorny bush river lodge for future trips. We wish we had stayed one more night...The staff was highly attentive, the food was phenomenal, it was personal and first class service without feeling pretentious. They even arranged a surprise candle-lit dinner on our private deck with a complete candle lit room with a hot-drawn bubble bath... it was amazing!!!!  We also had massages there that were affordable and phenomenal!

Our guides were informative and friendly and made sure we saw the big 5!

It really was a special place...we loved it!

Cape Town was beautiful as well. The Table Bay hotel was perfect for our time in Cape Town. It was centrally located on the waterfront with tons of restaurants and bars and very safe!  Breakfast was delicious every morning.

Just wanted to say that we enjoyed our safari immensely. We were fortunate to see a wide array of animals in Masai Mara, Amboseli, and Lake Nakuru. But we really have to thank our driver and guide, Utika, for providing a truly excellent experience. He drove us skillfully through the chaotic traffic of Nairobi and the highways. His expertise in spotting games and birds and providing us with nature lore was superb. Our thanks to him and your company for a memorable trip!

Rob Kneller

Not sure where to start or for that matter where to end. The safari you arranged for us was truly amazing!! With just the three of us and our driver Peter, we were on a custom/personal adventure. As a result, we were able to stop and take pictures when we wanted to and were treated to some special drives to meet our requests. He was most knowledgeable on all aspects of the savannah and was always pursuing the best location to see and photograph the animals. He had an amazing ability to locate them in the distance while driving on the roller coaster tracks/roads. Right from the start of our drive from the airstrip to the Sweetwater Lodge, we were introduced to what was to come with giraffes, zebras, elephants and cape buffalo to name but a few. Of course, we eventually saw considerably more - hippos, rhinos, crocodiles, etc. etc. etc. The migration was still on and the number of wildebeest either grazing over the plains or walking in single file on their journey was a true spectacle. The massive scope was one you could only appreciate in person. We managed to see the Big 5 with added bonuses of cheetahs and two occasions of a lion with her cub. The accommodations at Sweetwater and Lake Elmentaita were especially charming while the Masai Village offered a truly remarkable contrast to our own culture and style of living. The regular sightings of elephants and giraffes was a real treat. Suffice to say I could go on and on. It is virtually impossible to pick one highlight out of the trip. Combined with the incredible landscape, cloud formations and Mount Kenya as a reference point, it is hard to imagine what we didn't see. Thanks again for arranging a fantastic holiday!

We wish to thank Goway for organizing a wonderful trip to Egypt and Jordan for us. I was nervous having heard of problems through the media. While in Egypt and Jordan we were escorted everywhere by excellent local guides organized by Goway. Standard security measures where in place and I was never worried.

This is a great time to visit Egypt and Jordan as there is only a limited amount of tourists and the major sites are not the least bit crowded.

We would like to thank you for a superbly arranged and executed trip to Africa. The Little Governor’s Camp in Kenya was totally impressive in terms of game watching, service and cuisine. We had incredible encounters with the wildlife close up!! The Kenyan people we encountered were lovely and most knowledgeable about the bush and its wildlife. All of our flights were on time and we were very glad that we had your Silver Service, where we were met and taken to our destination by very helpful representatives. It made a huge difference to our comfort level, security and ease of travel. The Rovos Rail trip from Pretoria to Cape Town was sensational. Our accommodation was luxurious and very comfortable. We slept extremely well … the result of excellent wines and cuisine and the gentle pace of the train. We met very interesting fellow passengers. The stop at Kimberly and the tour of the diamond mine was fascinating. The train journey was a really wonderful experience. The Twelve Apostles Hotel in Cape Town was an excellent recommendation. It has a spectacular location with great service and super cuisine. Cape Town, is of course a truly spectacular City. We had a wonderful day touring the Cape and then the wine country, with a beautiful lunch at Ernie Els winery and wine tasting. This was a private tour arranged by your good services and was a highlight. Our final destination, prior to returning to Toronto, was Lion Sands River Lodge, in the Sabi Sands reserve adjoining Kruger Park. This was a most luxurious destination and all was very first class. The Guides and Trackers were fantastic and we went on incredible game drives, with the drives themselves being an adventure. Again, we were rewarded with magnificent close up views of the varied wild life, including the Big Five. A bonus was that at this time of the year, many of the animals had new born offspring. This was an amazing trip lasting most of October. The whole, complex, trip went off without a hitch and with no concerns, due in large part to the on-spot services provided by your representatives and the great pre trip work done by yourself. Best Regards,

Marilyn and David

We really enjoyed the Africa on Foot camp in Greater Kruger Park. It was wonderfully peaceful and the food excellent. The setting of the Vineyard Hotel in Cape Town was superb with an absolutely stunning view of Table Mountain.

Goway has always been a pleasant experience for us. Their accommodations are always really up to speed. This is our third time travelling with Goway and would highly recommend. Looking forward to our next trip with them.

Thank you for a most wonderful trip! Every hotel was fabulous and King’s Camp was just spectacular in every sense: In 48 hours, I photographed all of the big 5 (in fact in 3 drives I had done that) and a huge number of other animals. We also went on an extra walking safari (which was to be an hour but we found a herd of elephants that we watched for over 40 minutes, and we were gone over 2 hours on the walking safari alone). The food was great, and the staff were superb! I will go on trip advisor to praise all of these, but first I wanted to thank you!

I’m home and I have to say Uganda and Kenya far exceeded and and all of my expectations!!!!!
Each Country was wonderful in its own way and each gave me something special to bring home.  Truthfully Uganda has my heart.  The countryside, the people, the children, the Gorilla’s, the Chimp`s, just in every way, shape and form.  I can describe it other than to say `My Mind was Blown!``

Of all the accommodations there is no doubt my favourite is the ``Mahogany Springs`` in Uganda. I got more than I went for in every way!!!!  I’m glad I took the extra time in each Country because those that only took 3-5 days in each missed the Big 5 and many, many other important animals.  By the time I was ready to leave I knew I had missed nothing.  I visited two different tribal Villages, the Masai being my favourite.  I sat with the staff at each lodging late at night learning about their life.  I truly came home much richer from this trip!

Before I even arrived home I was receiving emails from staff and people I met throughout my trip.  My Bucket List, Dream Trip was more than Fulfilled!!!!!!

We're at our last stop in Africa...Chobe Lodge in Botswana.  It's a beautiful lodge and our room is very nice with a view overlooking the Chobe River.

We went on a sunset river cruise last night and it was unbelievable how many elephants we saw.  They told us that there are over 10,000 elephants along this river valley.

Food and drink is great, we just had a bottle of wine brought to our room.  Joyce and I are now out on our private balcony enjoying the wine and refreshments they provided for us.

This truly a part of Africa to come to and enjoy the wine and wildlife, so many animals, birds and plant life to see.

This is the first day we just decided relax and not do an activity.

Goway has created for us an unforgettable journey to South Africa.

Don & Joyce

Protea hotel in Cape Town is excellent. The game drives are amazing, the country is beautiful, the food was excellent, the wine tours were great. The tour guides are all knowledgeable and fun people. What is not to like about South Africa?

Deena Turner

I was really pleased with the service given by Amber. This was an excellent experience, she was very helpful and detailed. Will def. think of Goway more for the future. Great Job! Thanks,

Valerie Fisher - Owner/Manager - Quest Travel Ltd

We had an excellent experience of what was provided by Vintage Africa, and wish to thank all for what they did (particularly Alison, who encouraged us to try 'glamping' rather than lodges, etc).

Paul and Jacqui Mack

Well...all I can say is Unbelievable! Thank you so much for helping me put together such a wonderful trip for my clients! And the guide we had, Deon Romijn, was beyond fantastic! He told us that he had had 12 tours booked for that time period and we were one of the groups that Goway gave him! He is so incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, funny and professional! The trip went seamless with him taking care of us! Thank you so much!

My clients did nothing but rave about the trip while they were on it and I have gotten phone calls from all of them thanking me for putting together such a fantastic Trip of a lifetime. In fact they have all told me that they will go on another group tour with me! The hotels were amazing, food was great, people were friendly and we didn't feel in danger at any time. South Africa was so different than what I had expected. And everyone else said the same thing. People are scared to go there because of how the media portrays Africa. And I am sure there are places that are scary and dangerous, but South Africa is a Destination that everyone should go to! One of my clients said: "Now that I've been to South Africa, It would be the first thing on my Bucket List, if I hadn't been to South Africa". And everyone agreed!

Just to give you some info on all that we went to.

All the Protea hotels were fantastic. Weather didn't stop us from going to Table Mountain. It was beautiful. The Gold Restaurant is a must do for everyone you send there. We learned to play the drums and then had our dinner that was really good.

Wine tours were great. I absolutely love Stellenbosch. Such a nice little town to shop and wander around in.

Cape of Good Hope was beautiful and we were so fortunate at Boulder Beach to witness them releasing 3 penguins back into the group at Boulder Beach. Was a touching scene.

Deon surprised us with a trip to Shakaland. What a great experience to see what the people live like and what their customs are. The St. Lucia Boat cruise was great as well. Saw lots of Hippos.

The Game drives were of course what everyone was waiting for and thoroughly enjoyed. On the second day 5 people decided to stay back as they were tired. They missed out big time! We had an Elephant, Giraffe, Rhino, Lions and Cheetahs all Very close to the jeep. We even saw a leopard with a kill that she had just taken down!

The Swazi Candle factory was a delight to go to. We spent a lot of money there! Chisomo Safari camp, Loved the tents. Everyone loved that experience! The game Drives there were great as well. One of our jeeps had a Male lion walk to within 20 feet of the truck

The pictures are amazing! We also got to get out of the jeep and walk into where a mother Cheetah and her 3 cubs were. We were within 20 feet of them! The sundowner's were great as well!

Victoria Falls excursion:

Cheetah experience was unbelievable! I loved every minute of it and so did everyone else that went. The lady that went on the Micro lite said it was amazing! Those that did the helicopter ride loved that as well.

I can't even begin to express how very much I appreciate all the hard work you did and truly appreciate the work you do! Agents like you make my job easier!

Laurie Umscheid

Let me start by saying how glad I am to be working with Goway and especially with you on these trips. Some of my colleagues have chided me on not working to get cheaper costs for the group flights by avoiding agencies such as Goway and doing everything via web based contacts. I've resisted that attitude because whenever a problem has arisen (and problems always happen...it's just part of traveling) you've come through in a big way.

But once again, my special thanks for helping to make these group trips so successful.

Rick Lampe

Our recent trip to Turkey exceeded my expectations. The itinerary was well paced, the guides were knowledgeable and the scenery & culture were spectacular. Optional hot air balloon ride in Cappadocia was amazing. Great add on.

Deanna Wilmshurst

My husband and I have now returned from our Tanzanian safari, and we had an incredibly wonderful time. Every one of my initial wishes for the trip was fulfilled by staying at the Lemala Camps that had been booked for us. I did indeed “feel the African soil under my feet.”

Venance Chuwa, our driver, was a gracious, knowledgeable, and very accommodating individual. He was able to give us so much information about Tanzania, its culture, its parks, the animals, the birdlife, and the Serengeti ecosystem in general.

Each of the five Lemala Camps has its own rustic charm. Being in the wilderness, they are not like staying at a hotel or lodge, but so much more personal and so much more tied to the land. The individual tents are very large (king-size bed, sitting area, desk, porch, vanity - with cold running water for the sinks, toilet, and the famous hot “talking showers.” At each camp, the staff were anxious to please each and every guest. Lemala Kuria Hills, is anything but rustic. It is beautiful. Each tent is situated for both privacy and view. The hardest decision to be made is whether you want to have your shower in the glass-enclosed indoor shower or in the scenic (but very private) outdoor shower on your deck.

While the animals are closer to you when you are riding in a safari vehicle, there is something special about actually walking out in their own environment -- feeling the African breeze on your face, hearing the sounds, and walking through the tall grass at your feet. On each walk, we were accompanied by a Maasai warrior and by a Park Ranger.

Lois Grierson

I just wanted to let you know that the trip was absolutely beyond all our expectations, the lodges were beautiful and it just seemed that everyone got better. I hope that I have inspired some of our friends to venture out of their comfort zones and plan a trip to East Africa and I will certainly recommend yourself and Vintage Africa as well as Breeze's Beach Club. Thanks again!

It was the BEST TRIP EVER!!!!! I really was scared and very skeptical about the trip before hand...hence the 1000's questions I had! But if the trip had ended after the first three days it would have been worth every penny...that is how amazing it was. I have already told tons of people about the trip...even on the flights home and they got my number to see how to book a trip in the future. I can't even say how amazing it was...everything and everyone was amazing!!! You were right. It was the trip of a life time and I am so honored to have you help me book the number one trip I have ever been on! Thank you so much and really thank you from Tracy also. He had the best birthday ever. The last night at the camp, they made Tracy a cake with candles on it and sang and danced around our table singing local songs and the US happy birthday song for an entire 30 minutes...the whole staff from the camp. We were the only ones staying at each camp site and were literally weighted on hand and foot. We tipped everyone individually (the main guys) and then the group tip box DOUBLE because they were worth every cent! I felt so safe and secure.

Thanks for putting together a great trip for us. The African Surprise Tour was perfect, and Craig Olivier, our Thompson tour guide was the best we’ve seen. The weather throughout was fine, so your recommendation for the time of year worked out well. Kariega Game Reserve was also fantastic. Please pass on our comments to Mark, who we met briefly last year in Vancouver. The Reserve staff were amazing, as was our guide, Jaybe (sp?), who was knowledgeable, helpful, fun, and considerate (even stopping the vehicle to swipe away spiders on the trail so they wouldn’t meet our faces). He was persistent in providing us with an exceptional experience, and is clearly an asset to the Reserve. Chelle (sp?) was also very informed and helpful. The accommodations were clean, spacious and comfortable. The food was very good. But the highlight was the safaris that they offered daily – we even went on 3 one day, and the encounters with animals were astounding. I have no hesitation in highly recommending this game reserve to others. So the total trip was fabulous – thanks for setting it up.

We want to thank-you for the personal touch you provided when planning the details of this trip. It is always a bit unnerving when a trip is advertised on the Internet and there is no face-to-face contact with a travel agent. We appreciated your prompt responses to our questions and the detailed information you provided. The itinerary was incredible, with very diverse landscapes and cultural experiences. The days were long and sometimes we just wanted to 'stay one more day' but overall we covered a lot of South Africa in a very short period of time and we would highly recommend the trip. The bus was comfortable with lots of extra seats and our driver, Anton, was very friendly and highly skilled. Our guide, Craig , was wonderful...very calm and well organized. He provided a wealth of interesting and informative background information in manageable "audio bites" during the bus journeys and he knew when to put the microphone down and let us contemplate the experience in silence. Several other options provided unique and memorable experiences and are highly recommended, Lots of information and up close experiences, Boma Dinner with Zulu Dance and Drum Performance, afternoon Safari in Hluhluwe-iMfolozi Park to see rhinos, st. Lucia Boat Cruise to see hippos and crocodiles and 4x4 Tour up Sani Pass to Lesotho including a village visit and lunch.

We just returned from our South African vacation in which your services were used during numerous part of my vacation. Your staff were always on time, very informative and provided us with an excellent time. Even the parts that were just for transport the drivers were more like tour guides providing us with information all along the trip. Your company made our trip very enjoyable.

William, Florida US

We are writing to tell you how pleased we are with our experience, and particularly with all the attention we received from our personal driver, Mohammad in Jordan. Mohammad was always on time whenever we had something booked, and his car was always immaculate and very comfortable. He provided service over-and-above what was expected of him and never made us feel rushed. He was pleasant, patient, caring, courteous, and very knowledgeable, and stopped many times at special places where my husband could take the "perfect picture", as he loves photography. On one of the days, after we had finished our official tour, Mohammad took us to see the Royal Car Museum, which was fabulous, and then treated us to a sweet at his favourite bakery. What a perfect ending to a perfect day.

Dan and I are just back at work today. I wanted to thank you again for all your hard work at arranging our FABULOUS honeymoon holiday! Everything was just perfect. The hotels were amazing (The Bay Hotel in Cape Town and the tent in Shamwari (Baythethe sp?)were possibly the nicest places we have ever stayed!) Everyone was so friendly and helpful everywhere we went. The food was world class. You will love Myoga. We both said it was the best meal we have ever had. So good. La Colombe was rated higher and was really good, but we both liked Myoga better. We saw so many animals. The rangers and trackers were awesome and so friendly. We loved that they ate meals with us as well and recounted stories and provided so much information. We already want to go back! Thanks again. We had such a good time.

The Namibia trip was outstanding! Your partners on the ground were excellent - highly professional, very organized and competent. Our driver/guide (Ralf), a German guy who spoke excellent English, was on top of everything, full of information, flexible and smart. We were only 4 for the first week, then 7, so there was lots of room, and the others were nice, pleasant people.

We have for years travelled on our own, and were a bit wary of a planned group trip, but we are very happy we did this one. Too old now for problems (we had three flat tires on this trip, one that required that we "borrow" places in another private vehicle as it happened at a waterhole where there were 8-10 lions watching us and drooling while our driver and another volunteer fixed the tire.

Everything was interesting and much of it very beautiful. We did the plane trip over the Sea of Sand from Swakopmund - glorious! The dune walks were lovely, the Atlantic coast and the small towns interesting, the history fascinating. We had thought it might have been too long, but we were sorry when it ended. We saw lots of everything, the accommodation was clean and comfortable and a couple of times, pretty luxurious. Spent several hours each evening drinking with the driver and getting more information about Namibia. He was always up and ready to roll even tho' we were a little fuzzy sometimes in the mornings. Saw all the expected animal life and then some - desert elephants, several rhinos and two leopards eating their victim in a tree.

All our connections and flights were fine, we were met when and where we expected to be, and it was a wonderful. memorable trip. Well done!

Nora and Hari, Canada

‘We had a great time and our accommodations in Istanbul were great. Food, service, pool/rec area, cleanliness, comfort all top rate. The variety and quality of the continental breakfast was simple amazing. A bit far from the old city but the tram was right outside our hotel, very simple to use, and got us to where we wanted to be in 5 or 10 minutes ”.

Richard and Will, Canada

The Magic of Africa was simply fabulous. Accomodation, food, company --- all first class! We recommend this trip to anyone, it truly is a Holiday of a Lifetime! Recommend a little holiday after the holiday to anyone looking at this trip. It is a busy time but you would not want to miss a thing. Our 6 days in Mauritius after the Africa portion was just perfect for some down time. So glad we added that on. Thanks again.

Barbara and Philipe Lafleche, Canada

I had the pleasure of a Goway trip to South Africa in September and I wanted to let you know how much my husband and I enjoyed it. Everything and everyone was just great. The guides that we had could not have been better. We had Alan for the city tour and the Peninsula Tour and he was very knowledgeable and made these days have great memories. For the wine tour we had Gaston and he was equally as knowledgeable and entertaining. I wanted to be sure that those that made this trip so special knew that we were very thankful for all they did for us. Also the Hotel was very nice and the staff treated us like royalty. The food was great and the whole place was very lovely. We would recommend this trip to everyone.

Thanks so much,

Our South Africa trip was AMAZING especially Kariega. Beautiful landscapes on the garden route and our stay at Kariega exceeded our expectations. The service and food was great, amazing actually. We had David Fraser as our Tracker/guide. Very nice young man, very knowledgeable and very passionate about what he does. The accommodations were very charming. We stayed in one of the suites at the end of the resort, very private and secluded. We even had our own pool. The game drives were of course the best part of my trip. We had very close encounters with Elephants, giraffes, rhinos... We were so close at times that it was exhilarating, We even saw the Lions, male, female and cubs. We were very thankful for David's knowledge, driving skills and tracking abilities, it was because of him that we had such great game drives. I would definitely recommend Goway and Kariega to anyone.

Lisa and Diana, Canada

The Tanzania, Botswana and Victoria Falls trip was an unqualified success! We loved it. We could not come up with a place we stayed too long or too short. We had few shared drives - but with good folk. The guides were all great and we were so surprised with the Okavango, we did not comprehend what it would be like. We saw lions in trees, leopards in trees, cheetahs on the ground, lions and cubs lounging, giraffes in families and alone, hippos playing in the river:) the migration! (what energy) a wildebeest crossing - and elephant crossings, eagles, zebras, etc.. Never a rhino - but we looked. monkeys, elephants, and baboons...and of course every antelope known:) even a few rare cats gave us quick glimpses. Every day and ride had something in it.

I always speculated how we would manage the "next leg" - but every time we climbed off a plane - someone was there to greet and direct us. We did have to really climb into a few planes - they got smaller and smaller...but we managed. On landing at Moremi to drop off some passengers - we were greeted by a giraffe - who came right at the plane. Stopped just inches from us - the pilot kept her cool...and I took my cue (as copilot) from her...later she said she had never had an animal so close! I really appreciate all your efforts to make this trip possible...Troy made me the spokesperson - but he wanted you to know how much we appreciate your help.

Troy, Beverley and Leslie, USA

I don't even know where to begin. The trip to Tanzania was absolutely incredible, amazing, fabulous and I could go on and on. What a tremendous blessing for our family! The whole experience far exceeded what we had imagined or expected! We will cherish this trip always. I cannot thank you enough for working so diligently to put it together for us! The Goway program was fabulous! We would highly recommend them to anyone. Everything worked like clockwork--the drivers were all very punctual, knowledgeable, caring, and fun. The accommodations were excellent and so unique--we loved all of them. One of the best things about our safari was our driver, Simba. He was amazing and went above and beyond to help us find and see the animals we so wanted to see--we all felt like he was family by the end of the trip. Yes, we really saw everything we hoped to see and more.

Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Just wanted to let you know that our trip to South Africa was one in a life time. We had a marvelous time, learned a lot, amazing places, everything was very well coordinated in all cities, guides very knowledgeable and helpful, punctual and on time all the time, the hotels were well chosen and the day trips mind-blowing. The safari …well an experience on its own, an experience you don’t what to miss and the lodging food and service…from another planet, waking up for the game’s at 5 am not an issue not for us but not even for our young kids..they were at the car way before us. Thank you so much for your help throughout all these arrangements. All in all a great trip

We're back from our honeymoon and I wanted to tell you what a wonderful time we had in Southern Africa! All of the hotels were amazing, and the tours that were arranged were beyond perfect! I would definitely recommend the Royal Chundu in Livingstone to you & your future clients traveling to that area, it was so peaceful & dreamy, the rooms were uber luxerious, and the staff was second to none. We had the best experience, I just can't rave enough about how much we enjoyed everything!

The accommodations were great, especially Kigio Nature Camp and the Mt Kenya Safari Club, and our airline transfers were seamless. Vintage Africa provided us with a driver, David, who was very knowledgeable about the animals and birds of the regions we traveled through, and a good source of information about cultural practices as well. The game drives were incredible, especially the night-time one. We saw all of the "Big 7", plus a number of other animals and birds. We are already looking forward to returning, probably in 2015. “The whole experience of South Africa was wonderful. We loved the country, so it is impossible to single out any one aspect/area/event that stood out. South Africa is a beautiful country to visit. More so in Central Canada's winter!  Seeing sun almost every day and consistent warm weather is what we wanted. The scenery is varied and magnificent, the beaches second to none (and so many types - very often no-one else around and miles of walkable sand).I could go on. The cost of meals is so much less than in Canada, and the standard's high....the place for foodies!”
