Antarctica – A “Boat” Load of New Product for A.I.

As an extension to its product range in Latin America, ADVENTURESIncorporated (A.I). has announced the ultimate in adventure – Antarctica. Considered by many as the final travel frontier, Antarctica is becoming increasingly popular for all adventurers and is moving up the wish list of Globetrotting travellers, partly due to limited numbers that are able to visit this region.

There are no permanent human residents and Antarctica has never had an indigenous population. The only residents are researchers, varying from approximately 4000 people in summer to 1000 people in winter. Only cold-adapted plants and animals survive in Antarctica, including penguins, fur seals, blue whales, mosses, lichens, and many types of algae.

The Antarctic expedition cruises offered by A.I. operate aboard purpose built vessels (previously operated as Russian research ice breakers) that have been fully converted for the comfort of our clients. They offer travellers up to 4 landings a day, maximized by the extended daylight in the south, as well as having clients up close and personal with a menagerie of polar wildlife. Other adventure options include overnight camping, kayaking and even diving!

“Antarctica by its nature and location is a high cost trip, but within those parameters we have prices to cater to all budgets” says Don Forster, A.I.’s Product Development Manager. “Savvy agents that specialize in this unique destination can earn big commissions by having the knowledge and expertise to confidently sell this niche product.”

With over 22 departures during the season (Northern Hemisphere winter), and a wide selection of itineraries that may include South Georgia and the Falklands Islands, and pricing for all budgets, Antarctica is a new jewel in the Goway family of destinations.

Sample trips include:
13 days Christmas in the Weddell Sea from $8150 USD per person.
19 days Antarctica, Falklands & South Georgia from $7800 USD per person.

China: From Ancient World to Olympic Gold!

China is one of the world’s oldest continuous civilizations. It also has the world’s longest continuously used written language system, and is the world’s most populous nation. Hardly surprising, North America now accounts for 2 million of China’s annual visitors, representing growth of up to 20% in recent years.

“North Americans are flocking to China on holiday now” commented Robert Glazier, Goway’s Product and Marketing Manager, “I attribute this to the unique blend of ancient culture, spectacular scenery and modern cities; of course the focus on China for the upcoming 2008 Olympic Games is also stimulating interest.”

Goway’s China offerings are as varied as the destination itself. For first time visitors, the 16-day China Odyssey tour has the perfect itinerary visiting “China’s Big Five” – Beijing, Xian, Guilin, Shanghai, and the magnificent Yangtze River. Priced from $3599, the tour includes airfare from Vancouver, accommodations, sightseeing and some meals.

For travellers with limited vacation time, Goway also offers the popular 10-day “Taste of China” from $1107 (excluding airfare) that includes Beijing, Xian and Shanghai; or the 12-day China Odyssey that also combines Guilin, gateway for the Li River Cruise.

For the French-speaking market, Goway offers two tours available with departures from Montreal, Ottawa and Quebec City. The 11 day “Les Saveurs de la Chine” visits Beijing, Xian and Shanghai from $2659 and “L’Essence de la Chine” also includes Guilin and is priced from $3039.

Goway also offers customized arrangements and has city modules highlighting the best of Beijing, Xian, Guilin, Shanghai, Suzhou, Guangzhou, Chengdu, Kunming and Lhasa in Tibet. All these can be combined according to the travellers needs. Accommodation is available at a selection of moderate, first class and deluxe properties in all cities.

In this day and age, the world-wide web is often the quick fix answer, with access to thousands of pages of information, as well as the ability to book everything from meals to airline seats online, and instantly compare prices. Don’t miss the boat to the Galapagos – “Garden of Eden”

ADVENTURESIncorporated has this week launched two unique cruise experiences to the Galapagos Islands aboard the best cruising vessels, the Isabella and the Santa Cruz.

Perhaps more so than any other place in the world, the fauna of the Galapagos are unique. Charles Darwin’s observations of these unique animals, their remarkable adaptation to a hostile environment, and the subtle variations between races of the same species living on different islands led directly to his theory of natural selection.

“Through ADVENTURESIncorporated’s years of experience within the Ecuador and Galapagos region we are able to tap into some of the best adventure cruising options in the islands at favourable pricing levels as well as add excellent land options for the pre and post portions of a Galapagos adventure” says Don Forster, A.I.’s Product Manager. “The destination is a fabulous choice for agents to focus on and specialize in, as there is a never ending desire by travellers of all levels to visit this truly unique destination.”

Space and departure dates are extremely limited, so an early reservation is suggested to prevent disappointment.

9 or 11 day sea only or land and sea options are available with prices starting as low as $2710. For full departure dates and pricing please visit our website.
