Goway Explores Israel

As part of their 40th anniversary celebrations, Goway recently hosted a fam trip to Israel. The six-day trip included the Crusader port city of Caesarea, Mount Carmel, Nazareth, the Galilee, the Dead Sea and Jerusalem. Highlights included following in the footsteps of Jesus in the old city of Jerusalem, a visit to Massada, the last outpost of the Jewish Zealots, who committed mass suicide rather than surrender to the Romans in the 1st century, and a ‘float’ in the Dead Sea.

Goway’s Aussie Self-Drives Offer Improved Signage

Goway Travel, one of North America’s leading wholesalers for travel to Australia and New Zealand offers self-drive vacations for those who love to explore with freedom at their own pace. Australia’s Northern Territory invested $500,000 for the construction of the Red Centre Way signage and has constructed three levels of signage: gateway, interpretive and directional along the route.

The new Red Centre Way infrastructure will be a welcome guide for travellers providing information to make it easier for them to travel from Alice Springs to Uluru. Tourism NT Chief Executive, Maree Tetlow said “The driving force behind the development of the infrastructure was to guide visitors through one of Australia’s most iconic landscapes passing through the spectacular West MacDonnell Ranges, Hermannsburg and Kings Canyon.”

At Flynn’s Grave near the Desert Park in Alice Springs and at Yulara on the Lassiter Highway, two gateway signs have been erected. Along the route, there are also interpretive signs explaining cultural, heritage and nature attractions providing visitors with an enhanced experience to this majestic corner of the Territory.

“Visitors going along the Red Centre Way routes will be able to feel more safe and confident with all the new signage that caters to travellers. Tourists will not only be able to enjoy the scenery but will also learn more about these significant sites,” says Product and Marketing Manager Meghan Boyd.
