Leigh spent 12 years as a guide in Namibia followed by three years selling Africa in the UK. She is passionate about conservation and the preservation of Africa’s unique and awe inspiring wildlife and spent several years working for conservation and volunteering for wild cat organisations. Africa is the continent that Leigh calls home and she loves sharing her knowledge and passion.

Goway’s AFRICAExperts is pleased to announce the appointment of Amber Cammish to the reservations department. “Amber brings a wealth of experience and expertise to the department,” commented Moira Smith, AFRICAExperts General Manager. “Having travelled extensively to our key destinations, particularly in North Africa and the Middle East, she complements our current team of experts”.

Amber spent 5 years in the Middle East and North Africa as a tour leader and the last 2 years in Canada selling Africa. Her experience extends from leading overland journeys through the Middle East to relaxing in luxury riads in the medinas of Morocco. During her tour leading career she was based in Egypt which she considers her second home. It was a great base to explore the region as well as lending the opportunity for extended travels to East Africa. Her passion is all things Africa; the people, the culture and history and of course its’ natural beauty.

Goway Travel has announced the appointment of Judy Bunkall to the position of Business Development Manager (Prairies) covering Alberta, Manitoba and Saskatchewan. Judy’s 24-year industry experience includes managing travel agencies, sales and marketing management, and business development.

“We are delighted to welcome Judy to the team of Business Development Managers” commented President and Founder, Bruce Hodge. “Judy not only brings a wealth of industry knowledge to the position, but has also experienced many of our destinations first-hand”.

In the role of Business Development Manager, Judy is responsible for conducting Goway Expos in Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba, and working with the trade to grow business to Downunder (Australia and New Zealand), the Worlds Most Idyllic Islands, Africa, Asia, Latin America and Goway’s Adventure product.

“After many years experience selling travel in a retail environment, I really understand the needs of travel professionals and the challenges that they face,” commented Judy “I am looking forward to working with agents on such a great product range.”

Judy’s extensive travel experience includes: the East Coast, Barrier Reef Islands and the Outback in Australia, the North and South Islands of New Zealand; cruising the islands of Fiji, Singapore and Thailand, Italy and Costa Rica.

Goway Expands Asia Department

Goway Travel is pleased to name Diane Molzan to the newly created position of General Manager for Asia, responsible for driving growth to this exotic region

“We are delighted to welcome Diane to the team at Goway” commented President and Founder Bruce Hodge, “She has a proven track record in the industry, and in her new role will be overseeing marketing, sales and operations within our Asia division.

Diane’s previous work experience includes a 12 year tenure at Gap Adventures where she ran an international call centre, a groups and FIT department, an air team and was an integral part of the development of Gap’s key partnerships with Discovery Adventures and Air Canada Vacations to name a few.

Diane has been a legend at driving results while focusing on customer service and agent support, not to mention that she has travelled extensively around the globe and has intimate first-hand knowledge of Asian culture. She brings with her a wealth of experience to her new role.

Wendy’s 22-year industry experience includes managing a small independent agency, a top producer with American Express Vacation Travel specializing in luxury, customized and International destinations. She has also been a part-time flight attendant and significant experience as an Independent Travel Consultant.

Goway’s AFRICAExperts is pleased to announce the appointment of Yael Marom to the reservations department. “Yael brings a wealth of experience and expertise to the department,” commented Moira Smith, AFRICAExperts General Manager. “Having lived in the Middle East and travelled to our key destinations, she complements our current team of experts.”

Yael was born in Israel, raised in Canada but moved back in early adulthood for a few years to reacquaint herself with her roots. The travel bug bit several years ago and she found herself traipsing around the world as often as possible. 2009 was spent mainly in Africa, the continent that stole her heart with its magnificent beauty, powerful energy and friendly people. Her fondest memories are of climbing and quad biking the sand dunes in Namibia, feeling the breezes of both the Indian and Atlantic oceans simultaneously in Cape Point, spotting the “Big Five” in Kruger, abseiling down Table Mountain, stepping inside the Great Pyramid of Giza, playing backgammon with the locals in Cairo, viewing the magnificent Baha’i Gardens in Haifa and swimming in all 4 seas of Israel; the Red, the Med, the Dead and the Sea of Galilee

Goway’s AFRICAExperts is pleased to announce the appointment of Jervin Randria to the reservations department.  “Jervin brings a wealth of experience and expertise to the department,” commented Moira Smith, AFRICAExperts General Manager.  “Having lived in East Africa and travelled to our key destinations, she complements our current team of experts.”

Jervin was born in Tanzania to a family that was actively involved in tourism. In her youth she spent her holidays on safari in parks including the Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater and Tarangire.  Jervin has been in the travel industry for 20 years with her most recent position being General Manager for Wildersun Safaris. Jervin loves travelling but her real passion is for travel in Africa; some of her fondest experiences include climbing Mount Kilimanjaro, Ballooning over the Serengeti, snorkelling in the Red Sea, getting up close and personal with lemurs in Madagascar, entering a pyramid in Egypt, cruising the Nile and standing at the tip of Africa at Cape Point.
