Goway Expands Tibet Vacations

Goway Travel has expanded unique product offerings to one of Asia’s most intriguing countries, Tibet.

Tibet is home to the holy city of Lhasa, Mt. Everest, the Potala Palace and red-clothed Dalai Lama. It is a mystical country that offers a vacation rich in scenery, religion and culture. Visitors to Tibet can visit Buddhist monasteries, enjoy colorful Tibetan art, and marvel at ancient architectural wonders.

“The niche market demand for Tibet was unforeseen“, commented Doug Vogl, Goway’s Product and Marketing Manager for Asia. “We have seen a jump in bookings as the capital , Lhasa, continues to draw people to the famous Potala Palace and the many iconic temples and monasteries.”

Goway’s 7 Day Tibet in Depth package priced from $1589 CAD is one of the hottest sellers, and offers a combination of sightseeing in Lhasa with Gyantze, an old town featuring fortress ruins and the monastery. Visitors will also explore the Tashilhumpo Monastery at Shigatse, the most important religious site in the city and founded in 1447.

Combining Tibet with China is one of Goway’s 13 Day popular tours. Time is spent exploring the sights of Beijing before taking the Tibet Express to Lhasa. The tour culminates with a journey back to China to spend time at Chengdu to visit the Panda Sanctuary.

Goway Offers Boutique Bhutan

Goway Travel is well known for their traditional Asia itineraries to the iconic sights in China, Japan and India. However, the leading North American wholesaler also offers lesser known destinations such as Bhutan.

“In Bhutan the attraction is that it is truly an “off the beaten path” destination due to it’s centuries of isolation, “ commented Goway’s Product and Marketing Manager for Asia, Doug Vogl. “This is a country where buying cigarettes is illegal, and tourism is equally unique. All visitors must travel on a pre-booked itinerary, which means you won’t find backpackers, or mass visitors.”

The cautious approach to tourism by the Kingdom of Bhutan ensures that the population, the environment and their culture remains unaffected by visitors. This means a truly authentic experience for Globetrotting travellers to the country.

Goway’s 8 Day Bhutan in Depth tour starts at $2359 CAD and starts at Thimphu, which resembles more of a rambling village than a capital city, and is home to the revered Bhutanese Royal Family. Travelling from Thimphu, visitors cross the Dochu La Pass with breathtaking views of the Himalayas and descend into the lush, tropical valley that brings you to Punakha and the Punakha Dzong, the winter residence of the monk body.

Another option for people with less time is the 4 Day Bhutan Interlude starting at $1199 CAD and provides visits to all the iconic sites of both Paro and Thimphu in a condensed version.

Travel professionals can access http://www.goway.com/asia for a complete list of Goway’s products. Goway’s extensive 68-page Asia Planner offers more than 200 Independent and Escorted Travel Ideas and is available online at www.goway.com or by calling toll free 1-888-469-2988.

Goway Offers on-line Honeymoon Registry

Goway Travel has launched a new tool to assist agents selling honeymoons to exotic destinations. The new online honeymoon registry allows clients to register either for trip contributions in increments of $100, or for features such as dinner at a local restaurant, spa treatments and other luxuries.

Agents can book their clients’ honeymoon with Goway Travel, and the couple can then sign up and register their honeymoon plans. After the bride and groom have registered and set up their personalized site, wedding guests can view and contribute to the bride and groom’s registry. From the comfort of their home, guests can buy a specific gift or contribute towards part of the honeymoon couple’s escape.

Featured components include a spectacular Sunset Cruise in the Maldives; a Balloon Safari in East Africa; watching sharks and rays in Tahiti; or a sensual couples massage at the Baan Sabai Spa Big Buddha in Thailand. Wedding guests will find it easy to give the perfect wedding gift - a honeymoon memory that will last forever.

“The honeymoon registry provides a new, innovative way of gift giving. Not only is it easy to use, it is much more convenient than visiting a department store, printing pages off a gift registry and searching through the store to find one of the many items on the list.” Said Bruce Hodge, founder and President of Goway Travel.

Visit Goway’s Romance Pages and learn more about their unique Honeymoon Registry or call 1-800-387-8850.
