classic Thailand mapDay 1. Arrive Bangkok. You will be met by Goway's representative and transferred to your hotel. The balance of day at leisure.

Day 2. Bangkok. Today you will enjoy a tour to The Grand Palace, Chakri Maha Prasad, one of the most beautiful samples of an ancient Thai court which was the former residence for the Thai kings.

Here you will admire The Reception Hall, the Coronation Hall, the Funeral Hall and the beautiful Temple of the Emerald Buddha (Wat Phra Keo). One can easily visualize the splendor & pageantry of the past. Ladies and gentlemen are required to dress suitably.

Proceed to Wat Po, home of the enormous Reclining Buddha and one of the oldest and largest temples in Bangkok. Here the Traditional Medicine Practitioners of Bangkok have their headquarters and Traditional Thai Massage is taught and practiced here.

The afternoon is at leisure to enjoy a massage or some shopping in one of the many complexes or outdoor markets. Enjoy a leisurely evening with a delicious genuine Thai dinner, set in a delightful Thai atmosphere. The meal is accompanied by Thai classical music and dances. The dancers with their beautiful glittering costumes and exquisite graceful movement will stay in your memory forever. BD

Day 3. Bangkok. Once again, enjoy a full day tour to the unique floating markets of Damnoen Saduak in the Ratchaburi Province, approx. 80 km southwest of Bangkok. The markets are Thailand's largest and most colourful and exotic. The tour includes a visit to "Phra Pathom Chedi", near Nakorn Pathom. With a height of 127 meters, this is the tallest Buddhist pagoda in the world. Lunch will be served at the picturesque Rose Garden Country Resort. After lunch, enjoy a Thai Village show, giving an introduction to Thai life. You will witness an ordination into monkhood, fingernail dance, Thai boxing, hill tribe dance, sword fighting, elephants at work and folk dancing. BL

Day 4. Bangkok to Chiang Mai. Depart for Chiang Mai. On arrival you will be met and transferred to your hotel. Remainder of day at leisure. B

Day 5.Touring Chiang Mai. Drive through different parts of the city, passing through old city walls, gates and city moat, market, residential areas, foreign Consulates, Government buildings and Tapae, Chiang Mai's tourist attraction area.

Visit Wat Chiang Man, the oldest temple in Chiang Mai, which is noteworthy for a chedi supported by rows of elephantine buttresses and a situated for Phra Kaew Khao. Proceed to Wat Phra Singh which contains most beautiful Lai Kham Chapel with its exquisite wood carving and northern style murals. Proceed to Wat Chedi Luang, containing an enormous pagoda, originally 280 feet high and was partially destroyed by an earthquake in 1545.

The last temple will be made at Wat Suan Dok where the ashes of Chiang Mai's Royal Families are interred. This temple is now one of the most famous temples for Monk School in Chiang Mai. Visit Varoros Market before returning to your Hotel. Enjoy the afternoon at leisure to explore or shop for some of Chiang Mai's famous parasols, silk and cotton weaving, jewellery, woodcarving, silverware, celadon, and lacquerware. B

Day 6. Chiang Mai and Hilltribes. Visit the best-known temple of Chiang Mai, Wat Phra Dhat Doi Suthep (built in A.D. 1384). Built upon a hill outside of the city, this temple can be reached via a 290 step staircase and the reward of climbing up is, besides the impressive temple, a fascinating view of the surroundings from Chiang Mai. Then proceed to visit a village of the Meo (Hmong) hill tribes in Doi Pui. The afternoon and evening is at leisure. B

Day 7. Chiang Mai to Samui. Transfer and depart to Samui. On arrival you will be met and transferred to your hotel. Remainder of day at leisure. B

Day 8. Touring Samui. Experience the beautiful sights of the Angthong National Park. As you depart from Bo Phut Pier heading North by boat, you arrive at the archipelago, which consists of 40 islands.

You will marvel at natural caved, blue lagoons and stunning rock formations. Arrive on Wau Ta Lab Island and head towards the National Park HQ for sunbathing, swimming, snorkeling or just simply relax. Absorb the breathtaking views around you. After lunch on board we head to Mae Koh Island where the inner salt lake is located. BL

Day 9. In Samui. A full day at leisure. B

Day 10. Depart Samui. Depart Samui for your onward destination. You may stay longer if you wish. B
