Tanzania Weather
Tanzania is a large country and as such, the climate changes depending on the region. In general, the long rainy season is from March to May. During this time, tropical downpours are common in the afternoon. These rains are heavier on the coast and on the islands. The humidity during these months is high, and so too are the temperatures which can reach above 30˚C (86˚F).
The long dry season typically lasts from June to October. Temperatures during these months vary depending on location, however, one common factor is the low amount of rainfall. November and December experience another rainy season known as the “short rains” and aren’t as heavy as the main rainy season. January and February are known as the “short dry” season.
