Singapore Weather
Due to its location just one degree north of the Equator, Singapore enjoys a tropical climate that is characterized by hot days and high humidity. The tropical climate means that traditional seasons do not exist here and the weather is warm year-round with average temperatures reaching between 25˚C (77˚F) and 31˚C (87.8˚F) and humidity levels averaging between 70-80% (but can reach 90% in the mornings).
There are two main monsoon seasons found in Singapore, the Northeast Monsoon from December to March and the Southwest Monsoon from June to September. During the Northeast Monsoon, the wet phase lasts from December to January and has moderate to heavy rainfalls in the afternoons and early evenings while the dry phase from February to March is cool and pleasant. The Southwest Monsoon season experiences showers and thunderstorms between predawn and midday, but thunderstorms usually only last about thirty minutes. May and June are usually hot and dry.
