Bariloche is Argentina’s outdoor sports capital with good reason, but it’s also a quaint and fascinating city for those who prefer a more relaxing trip. An optional scenic day drive takes you to the area’s most beautiful vistas. For a bird’s eye view over this wilderness, the chair lift to the peak of Campanario Hill is a must. Visit the picturesque harbour town of Playa Bonita and El Trebol Lagoon before your return to Bariloche.
Round the Andean lakes into Chile, enjoying some of the most magnificent scenery in South America until you reach Peulla. You’ll have a full morning to explore this town before going on to Puerto Varas, stopping at the Osorno Volcano, sometimes called the Mount Fuji of the Andes. Finally, drop by the Settler Museum to learn about the history of this region before an overnight in Puerto Montt. You may wish to take a half-day trip to the picturesque town of Frutillar before you depart.

Bariloche
Today is free to explore the quaint and fascinating city of Bariloche and walk the hills of Bariloche. This pleasant drive by the shore of Lake Nahuel Huapi for 16 miles to Playa Bonita, a small harbour and summer resort. Then a stop at Campanario Hill where you can reach the top of the hill by a small chair-lift (chair lift cost is included) to get one of the most beautiful overview of the city and lakes. The trip continues towards St Eduard's chapel located in Llao-Llao. After crossing the bridge over Moreno lake, the road border El Trebol lagoon you take the main road to return to Bariloche
Bariloche to Peulla
Today sees you head for the lake shore and a transit through an amazing Andean mountain lake system into Chile. The original crossing was undertaken in 1913 by a group of tourists led by Ricardo Roth who crossed the Andes Mountains along a route joining Peulla in the Chilean side with Bariloche in Argentina. A combination of bus and boat sees you cut through the heart of one of the most magnificent mountain ranges and regions of the world

Peulla to Puerto Varas
Today, as you continue your transit, you will have the morning to explore Peulla before boarding the vessel and the final leg into Chile. Puerto Varas, a beautiful town just 15 minutes away from Puerto Montt, is located in the borders of Lake Llanquihue. A few kilometres before entering the town, you will have the opportunity to enjoy a splendid Lakeview and the magnificent Osorno Volcano. You will stop to visit the magnificent Petrohu waterfalls.
