Kimberley Tours & Vacation Packages

  • Kimberley Horizontal Falls is difficult to get to but worth the effort when booking Australian tours.

The Kimberley is a remote, rugged but beautiful region in the north of Western Australia where the outback meets the ocean. It consists of ancient steep-sided mountain ranges with sandstone and limestone gorges. It is one of the hottest parts of the country on an Australian vacation in the summer and has a tropical monsoon climate.

The main city is Broome, famous for its pearl industry and for producing one-third of the entire world’s diamonds. Cable Beach here has a reputation as being one of the world’s best with excellent swimming. You can take a camel ride at sunset on the beach or cruise along the coast and view dramatic waterfalls plunging into the sea, ideal additions to your Australia vacation..

For scuba diving enthusiasts, the Rowley Shoals 260 kilometres/155 miles offshore has some of the best diving in the world in splendid gardens of coral.

On trips to Australia, not too far away is the Bungle Bungle range, the orange and black striped rocks that stand 580 metres/1880 feet above sea level in the World Heritage Purnululu National Park reached by road or helicopter.

The spectacular Inland Gorges are reached by taking a boat down the Fitzroy River lined with red river gum trees and where freshwater crocodiles can be seen swimming.

Hall’s Creek was the centre of the gold rush in 1865 and still retains a pioneering character. Nearby is the eerie moonscape of the Wolfe Creek Meteoric Crater, the second-largest crater in the world.

Although remote even by Australian standards, including one of our Kimberley tours in your trip to Australia, will give you a greater appreciation for the ruggedness of Western Australia. C’mon say G’day Downunder. Book one of our Australia vacations today and start exploring!
