Eurail Select Pass

Eurail Select Pass provides rail travel in your choice of any 4 bordering countries out of the following: Austria, Benelux*, Bulgaria, Croatia/Slovenia*, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Montenegro/Serbia*, Norway, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and Turkey. Available in 1st class for Adults and Saver and 1st and 2nd class for Youth.

*Benelux = Belgium, Netherlands, Luxembourg = 1 country,
*Montenegro/ Serbia = 1 country
*Croatia/Slovenia = 1 country

Benefits and Features

• Unlimited travel on the national rail networks of any 4 adjoining Eurail Select Pass countries that are connected by train or ship.
• Validity: 5, 6, 8, or 10 days within 2 months.
• Three-tier pricing is based on a combination of selected countries.
• Travel days may be used consecutively or non-consecutively.

Child Policy

• Two children (ages 4-11) travel free per 1 adult, excludes reserved accommodations/seats.
• Children under 4 are free when sharing an adult passenger’s accommodations/seat.

Reservation Requirements:

• This rail pass covers trains that are operated by the national railways of the four countries listed on the pass.
• When traveling with a Eurail Select Pass, reservations are required when traveling on high-speed, scenic, international and overnight trains.
• Travellers with a rail pass may be required to purchase a ticket and reservation for any portion of the journey that isn't covered by their rail pass.
• Reservations are an additional cost and can be requested within 60 - 90 days of your travel date.
• Please note: This rail pass is not valid for travel on the Italo trains in Italy. A train ticket would need to be purchased for travel on these trains
• Reservations are required when traveling on high-speed, international or overnight trains with this rail pass. 
• While reservations may not be required for all trains, reservations are recommended when travelling long distances or on holidays and weekends with this rail pass. 
• Some regional and commuter trains do not require reservations, so travelers can simply board with their passes and take any open seats.

Conditions of Use

• Residents of Europe, the Russian Federation or Turkey are not eligible to purchase or use a Eurail Select Pass.
• Passes must be validated within 6 months of the issue date by a railway official in a participating country (station’s desk) who also fills in the passport number.
• All parties must be present when validating a Saver pass.
• Passes must be validated prior to boarding the first train or using a bonus.
• The date of travel must be entered before boarding the first train/bonus by the traveler in the corresponding box of the calendar.
• Persons using a U.S. Military I.D. are eligible to use this pass.
• The 7 PM rule: if an overnight train starts after 7:00 pm on a validated Eurail Select Pass the pass holder must enter the next day’s date on the pass, provided it falls within the validity of the pass. 
• Please note: This rail pass is not valid for travel on the Italo trains in Italy. A train ticket would need to be purchased for travel on these trains

Packaging instructions

• Pass must be stapled in a Eurail Pass ticket cover
• Include 1 Eurail Traveler’s Guide, and Map per pass

Adjoining Countries

• The chosen countries must be bordering, or have a direct shipping line which is part of the Eurail offer.
• Important! Norway and Finland are not adjoining countries. They have a joint border, but to get by train from Norway to Finland clients have to travel through Sweden.
• Make sure all the countries the train travels through are covered in the Eurail Select Pass, otherwise a separate ticket must be purchased.
