Upon graduating university and after many years working in radio and television, I decided to accept a job in Denmark for a global marketing team. Both personally and professionally, this role allowed me to further my travel experiences across Europe and Asia. Upon my contract completion three years ago, I relocated to the USA and accepted my first job in the travel industry. I haven't stopped travelling since, having now been to 40 countries and every continent except for Antarctica. Much of my specialty lies in Asia and Central America, with Europe and South America holding a close second. Some of my favourite destinations I have visited include Sri Lanka, Georgia, Japan, Thailand, Poland, Guatemala, the Philippines, and Australia. As my time in the US came to a close, I was honoured to have the opportunity to share my passion and expertise with you all on the Asia team here at Goway in Toronto.
My favourite places
Sri Lanka (formerly Ceylon) is a tropical island, with landscapes ranging from sandy beaches to lush forests to tea plantations that, in quieter times, made the country famous. The population is overwhelmingly Buddhist, and ancient traditions are still practiced at holy sites scattered across the island.
Japan is truly timeless, a destination where ancient traditions are fused with modern life. From the incredible cuisine, stunning sights, highspeed trains, and lively Tokyo nightlife, this country has endless opportunities for adventure in all styles. Well worth a spot on your bucket-list.
Thailand is a must-see destination in Southeast Asia for travellers of all interests—a country filled with spectacular natural, cultural, and historical attractions. From sightseeing and dining, to relaxing on magnificent tropical beaches across its marvelous islands, it's an approachable destination for all budgets.
Trek through the jungles, scale the volcanic landscapes, dive into crystal-clear warm waters, and meet the people of the Philippines' 7,000 islands. The Philippines provides an answer for those in search of a slice of archipelagic Asia, along with amazing, fresh seafood and inviting, friendly locals.
