Burgeoning with museums and art galleries, Italy has more than its fair share. History? You can’t go very far without stumbling on an archaeological site or ancient building. Scenery? Try visiting the Amalfi Coast or the Cinque Terre. Music? You can’t miss operatic performances or symphonic concerts wherever you are. Food? Amazing. Wine? Excellent and try a visit to one of the outstanding wine regions. Beaches? All along the Mediterranean Sea and the Adriatic. Volcanoes? Yes, active ones. I close my case.

Cape Town alone is possibly the jewel-in-the-crown with its perfect location between two oceans. The Garden Route is a gift from nature with its coastal scenery. Add to this, the beaches and exotic spice markets of Durban the native traditions found in Zululand and, of course, unparalleled animal viewing in one of the many wildlife game parks.
