DESTINATION SPECIALIST

I have made some of my best friends through travel. Being on the road away from home, you are likely to meet other kindred spirits looking for something new. I have worked with travel abroad programs in Italy and visited Wales and Australia through these exchanges. When you love a place, you want someone to have the best experience they can. I am happy to offer my expertise to create the memories only travel can offer. As we love to eat different foods in Toronto, I am all for getting to the source while on vacation. Until I got to Modena I had no idea how much labor was behind balsamic vinegar, and I have never met a cheese I did not like, especially when the producer tells me the history behind it. These are some of the travel stories that I love to provide. They are pieces of places we can take home with us and think about when we need a boost.

My favourite places

  • Rome Italy

The "Eternal City" has a hold on me. The contrast in time periods all in front of you, the nod to tradition while adapting to modern life I find fascinating. Cross the roads with conviction and Always allow time for a spritz in the piazza to get into local life. Plus, I find it as beautiful in rain as it is in sun.

  • Santorini Greece

I climbed a volcano and swam in hot springs on the same day trip. What more could you ask for? The sunsets are as beautiful as they say and the food is not to be underestimated. I can now say I've taken a donkey as transportation. Go with friends or someone special, but make sure you go!

  • Venice Italy

What's not to love about Venice? There's simply no other city on Earth like it, from amazing historic sights like the Doge's Palace and Saint Mark's Square, to tasty gelato! Lose yourself wandering the city of canals in all its unique beauty.

Did you know?

  • The Roman subway line took forever to expand as they kept unearthing archeological sites during the work.
  • While Santorini's population swells in the summer with tourists, it is home to just over 15,000 people.
  • In Venice, gelato is taken as seriously as wine. Indulge with a visit to La Mela Verde for a scoop or two.
  • Rail travel's a great way to experience the countryside by allowing you to focus on the views and not the road.
