DAVID DALGLISH

CENTRAL & SOUTH AMERICA, UK EUROPE, ARCTIC & ANTARCTICA

DESTINATION SPECIALIST

Travel has been a major part of my life. I have been visiting, working, and living in foreign countries since the last century. After spending most of my early adult years travelling with a backpack, learning Spanish, and falling in love with travel, I worked for numerous years as a tour leader in Central and South America, Europe, and North Africa. My experiences have taken me to Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia, Chile, Argentina, Uruguay, Paraguay, Brazil, Costa Rica, Panama, Nicaragua, Honduras, Guatemala, Belize, Mexico, Morocco, Spain, Greece, Iceland, Scandinavia, and more. I love sharing my expert advice with travel agents, and strive to provide the perfect itinerary for each and every client they bring my way. Awarded as Goway’s Rookie of the Year for 2013, I have developed a following of loyal travel agents who have come to rely on my honesty, promptness, and overall excellent customer service.

My favourite places

  • The Galapagos

    Central & South America

I was very fortunate to go on a cruise with my wife to this marvellous place. It is a wildlife sanctuary filled with fascinating creatures and gorgeous scenery.

  • Atacama

    Central & South America

It's the driest desert on earth and has amazing mountain and desert landscapes. It was the southernmost expansion of the Inca Empire.

  • Oaxaca

    Central & South America

I love the markets, flowers, food, and artisanal crafts. It has one of the loveliest zocalos in Mexico, with the trees blooming in bright purple.

  • Easter Island

    Central & South America

As a tour leader, I was lucky enough on two occasions to visit this island, the most remote piece of land in the Pacific Ocean. It's easily worth the flight from Santiago.

Did you know?

  • Iguassu Falls marks the border between three countries: Argentina, Brazil, and Paraguay.
  • There are over 20 indigenous peoples and as many different languages spoken today in Guatemala.
