Whenever I reflect back on my travels, some of the most fascinating journeys that I recall are those to Asia. Its rich cultures, the fascinating and often-mysterious history, the breathtaking nature, and the warmth of the locals have left a deep imprint on my heart forever. I recall with great fondness the first morning that I awoke on a houseboat in Kerala. I had arrived in the evening and what revealed itself to me upon sunrise was breathtaking. It was so beautiful and surreal to be looking out from the houseboat upon all the surrounding nature. Nor will I ever forget the magical scenery and crystal clear waters and vivid green nature of Koh Samui and Phuket. Whilst on the Maldives and Langkawi Island, I was wishing to stop time so that I could live in that moment forever. I was living in the United Arab Emirates for two years, land of the Burj Khalifa, the world’s tallest building, Dubai Mall, the largest and grandest shopping mall in the world, the stunning Burj al Arab, and other extravagant attractions.
My favourite places
I believe many people who visited India agree with me that it's difficult, if not impossible, to describe this huge, multicultural, inspiring, and beautiful country in mere words. A country by name, but a continent in scale, India is defined by diversity. I haven't met a single traveler to India who has not promised to return in the future.
Thailand is a country of wonder, filled with spectacular natural, cultural, and historical attractions. From sightseeing of historical royal palaces, to relaxing in magnificent tropical beaches on marvelous islands under the sun, to visiting eye-catching Buddhist temples and exploring exotic wildlife and nature, Thailand is a must see place in Southeast Asia.
Greece is known for its natural beauty and fascinating history. Ancient archaeological sites, countless islands, sandy beaches, and magnificent Mediterranean climate make Greece one of my favorite destinations. Breathtaking Santorini is my must re-visit destination with its astonishing scenery of typical white and blue houses, and not to forget its black sandy beaches.
