What is the minimum age for children?

The cabins allow one child of under 12yrs to share with full paying adults. Children over the age of 12yrs must occupy own room.

What should I pack?

Dress is casual. We suggest you bring along the following: swimming attire, T-shirts and shorts, comfortable walking shoes, sun glasses , and camera, and jacket during winter night.

How much luggage should I bring?

There is no limit on the amount of luggage but for your comfort we recommend luggage not exceeding that permissible on international/domestic airlines.

Are the cabins assigned in advance?

At the time of reservation confirmation, you will be assigned either a cabin. Subject to availability special requests will be considered. Room numbers will be assigned one night prior to check in.

What is the maximum of passengers per cabin?

Maximum of 3 passengers per cabin including children.

Do the cabins have drinking water?

We recommend drinking bottled water. 

What is the smoking policy?

Smoking is only permitted on the outside area of the entertainment deck and the assigned smoking cabins. 

What is the best currency to use?

The cruises will accept either Egyptian pounds, US Dollars, Sterling Pounds or Euros.

What is the voltage onboard?

Electricity: 220 V 

What meals are offered during cruising?

Full board 3 meals are offered starting with lunch after check in and ending with breakfast before check out. Meals may be provided buffet style or a la carte depending on the meal plan of each boat.

From which cities in Egypt do the cruise programs start? 

The Nile cruise program will always start sailing from Luxor to Aswan or from Aswan to Luxor.

What are the minimum number of night to attend a Nile cruise program?

The minimum number of sailing is 3 nights.  The same excursions are done on either the 3 or 4 night general program, however, we do recommend the 4 night for a little more down time.

Are the excursions of the historical sites included within the prices?

Yes all the necessary tours are included within the package prices. Extra excursions may be booked on request upon arrival or with your Goway agent prior to arrival in Egypt.

What is the guiding process during excursions?

Travelers will be placed with an Egyptologist and other English speaking guests.

Is it possible to book a private guide for the Nile cruise program?

It is possible to arrange and book a private Egyptologist on board of the cruise with a supplement covering the fees and the accommodation of your own guide with discounted rates, please inquire prior to arrival in Egypt for this arrangement.

What is the flying time from Cairo to Luxor or Aswan?

The duration of the flights to Luxor or Aswan or v.v. is approx. one hour one way.

Is there any entertainment or animation program during the cruise?

All Egyptian Nile cruise offer a regular entertainment program with several varieties on nightly basis. 

Do the staff on board speak English?

Yes all staff on board speaks English. 

What are the average temperatures at Luxor or Aswan?

During winter from October till April. The temp in the morning averages at 25 degrees Celsius and at night average of 10. During summer from May till September the temp in the morning is average 38 degrees Celsius and at night average of 25. 

What credit cards do the cruises accept?

We accept all major credit cards onboard and there is a 24 hour reception to help you with any needs you may have, including arranging tours and morning wake up calls
