Goway to Give Away a Trip to Israel As Tourist Arrivals Hit New Records
As visitor numbers hit new peaks in the Holy Land, Goway will send two lucky Globetrotters to see what all the excitement is about.
While numerous countries in the Middle East have seen a rapid decline in tourism or closed off completely due to unrest, travel to Israel has never been more popular. Goway Travel, whose Africa experts sell the Holy Land along with other countries in the region, have seen demand for Israel tours increase by 24% year on year. Meanwhile, Israel Tourism reported record tourist arrivals in 2013.
In conjunction with its ‘Sell Israel’ campaign, Goway will be giving away a spot via its Facebook page for two people on its best-selling Treasures of Israel trip. This locally escorted tour includes all the must-see highlights and this year, includes an extra night in Jerusalem. “We included an extra night to allow a visit to Bethlehem, the birthplace of Jesus, which rounds out the itinerary,” says Moira Smith, Goway’s AFRICAExperts General Manager. The 9-day program visits the classic tourist sites of Jerusalem, the Dead Sea, Caesarea, Acre and the Sea of Galilee, as well as lesser known gems. In modern, upbeat Tel Aviv, guests will visit The White City and the free-spirited neighborhood of Neve Tzedek. The secret crusader sights of Acre await, along with the Dead Sea and spectacular Masada, the mountaintop stronghold built by Herod the Great. Guests can even get a taste of the Holy Land on a wine tour through one of Northern Israel’s famous wineries.
The trip’s June departure includes the unique opportunity to see La Traviata performed as part of the Israeli Opera Festival at Masada.
