Best Time to Visit Mauritius
The best time to visit Mauritius is from May to December when the weather is cool, dry and sunny. However, the island has a tropical climate with warm weather all year round. During summer, from November to April, the days are hot and humid. In winter, from May to October, the temperature drops from hot to balmy. The cyclone season is from January to March and the east coast in July and August is windy. The warmest weather is during the month of February while the coolest temperatures tend to be during July. In general, the western and northern regions are warmer and drier than those in the east and south. Summer is usually the peak tourist season in Mauritius, so you can expect it to be busy, especially on the beaches. Diving enthusiasts will have the clearest waters between December and March, whereas, for deep-sea fishing, October to April is the best.
