Brunei Weather
The location of Brunei means that it falls into the equatorial climate zone which results in high temperatures and heavy rainfall. Blessed with a tropical climate, Brunei remains warm all year with humidity levels ranging from 70-100%.
There are four climatic regions in Brunei:
Brunei-Muara District: weather here is humid and tropical on the coast and in areas of lower altitudes. The capital, Bandar Seri Begawan is subtropical and can be very humid.
Tutong District and the Belait District: a tropical climate exists in these districts with it being hot to the north of the district and warm to the south.
Temburong District: higher altitudes in the south experience subtropical conditions and humidity while the coast experiences a tropical climate.
December to March can experience heavy rainfalls as a result of the northeast monsoon season. Rainfall during the southwest monsoon season (May to October) decreases and is not as intense. Traditionally, the hottest months are March and April.
