What language is spoken in Korea?

The official language of Korea is Korean.

Is English spoken throughout Korea?

English is taught as a second language in schools. However, do not assume every individual you meet will be able to converse in English. 

What currency is used in Korea?

The currency used throughout the country is the won. Mastercard and Visa are very widely accepted, with American Express accepted as some high-end hotels and restaurants. 

Do I need a Visa to travel to Korea?

A Visa is not required when travelling to South Korea from Canada and The United States as a tourist for 180 or 90 days respectively. 

When is the best time to travel to Korea?

As Korea has four distinct seasons the best times to visit are in the spring (April to June) and fall (September to November). During the spring visitors will be able to enjoy the cherry blossoms and lots of sunshine. Fall is when the majority of major festivals take place and the colours are incredibly vibrant. 

Is there transportation within Korea?  

Korea has a very extensive transportation system which include railways, buses, ferries and more. The T-Money card is used for public transportation within Seoul. 

Is Korea a family friendly destination?

South Korea is a safe and clean country. Activities that the whole family will enjoy include theme parks, Hello Kitty Cafe, N Seoul Tower and much more!
